ISU chokes at home, gives up 60 in 2nd half to Baylor

isn't it funny...how all the ISU HR visitors have disappeared. Without anything to defend or a recent Hawkeye loss...its very understandable. I guess they don't come here to just talk hoops.

isu is final four bound. Clone fans are sure of it. They just needed a wake up call.

I am not sure where they will end up this year to be honest. I think they have all the puzzle pieces to make a great team I just feel it is not put together yet. We need one guy to take control of the team and run with it. We just don't seem to have any flow this year.

I was surprised to see how well Iowa is doing this year. Seems Jok is playing better every year and you guys seem to look like a NCCA tourney team this year.

isu is final four bound just ask Brent with Blummers from cry-clown fanatic. Someday the clones will actually be as good as clown fans think. Just don't hold your breath waiting for it to occur.

It is odd how the Big XII's notoriously bad defense is not just a football thing.

Who is HerkyFan ? He sounds like the same piece of repeating crap that used to always be on here, did he get a different screen name by chance ? Cryclown fanatic now that is good.

Isu looks a man short, Naz long to be exact. Just seems like they are running out of gas.

Something is a miss right now for sure. I hope they get it figured out soon. Naz was not himself even at the start of this year and could tell something was wrong. Where do you think the Hawks end up in Big Ten play this year ?

So when will isu be as good as clown fans think they are? Amazing how often they repeat it.

It is odd how the Big XII's notoriously bad defense is not just a football thing.

Kansas, Oklahoma and West Virginia are all in the top 8 for AdjD. Half of the Big 12 is in the top 20. ISU's defense is bad right now though, if it doesn't improve they better hope they shoot lights out in the tournament

I have a feeling the Big 12 will perform as they usually do in the NCAA tourney and make an early exit. Then they can watch Big Ten teams move on and into the final four.

I see isu class has invaded the isu wrestling program. Leave it to an isu athlete to punch an opponent.

Tell us again how isu is all about class? Amazing how many d-bag incidents must be ignored for clown fans to feel good about themselves. Add another one to the list.

ISU still has time to figure things out, and has the roster to do it. Final Four might be a stretch but I think they'll be a tough out at tourney time. Same might be said for the Hawks if they stay healthy and finish strong. Really helps to have four quality seniors leading the way.

ISU doesn't have a bench...or Prohm simply doesn't trust it. That's the major problem with ISU right now. They've always been a little soft defensively but especially so this year because they're trying to keep the starters out of foul trouble. The bench had 5 pts v Baylor......

I'm pessimistic still, can't believe how well we have started. I think we go 2-3 in our next five, but the big ten doesn't look very good right now after that. I think Iowa could pull off 12-6 if we can at least go 2-3, and that's more to do with the big ten as a whole.

Naz has been the heart and soul of the Cyclones since his arrival in Ames. His loss to the Cyclone line up is as great as Uthoff would be to Iowa. It's to bad the seniors weren't able to finish their college careers together.

Here is a trivia question for you which I read at the link below over a week ago.

What NCAA team has won the most games over ranked teams in the past three seasons? The answer is Iowa State with 19 wins over ranked teams, but they are in error it is the last three seasons because I did the footwork and it is the past two seasons plus only the non conference season this year which only added one ranked team win by the time the article was posted. You might think the answer would be Kentucky but Kentucky actually plays in a very weak conference and has to draw their games thus usually wins over ranked teams in non conference games. Duke, North Carolina or Louisville might be another guess but they have several ranked teams in their conference thus pass the wins around I guess.

@CycloneMBB Notebook- No. 13 Iowa State plays its Big 12 home opener Wednesday when it hosts Texas Tech at Hilton Coliseum...the Cyclones have won four of their last five Big 12 home openers.
- ISU has won 19 games against ranked opponents in the last three seasons, the most in the nation...ISU has 18 total losses in that span...ISU has defeated four ranked opponents in a row, dating back to last season.

Just to compare ISU vs Iowa’s records starting with the 2013-2014 season. To be fair to give Iowa their two conference wins I added on the games each team has played since the article above was posted which was correct at the time it was written.

Iowa 54-28=82 games 2013-2014 to current date
ISU 65-20=85 games 2013-2014 to current date which is two games past the time of the article above stating 18 losses.

Total wins/losses over AP Top 25 ranked teams up to current date
Iowa 2013-2014 (2-6).....Iowa State (9-3) Helped by winning the conference tournament
Iowa 2014-2015 (3-6).....Iowa State (9-4) Helped by winning the conference tournament
Iowa 2015-2016 (3-2).....Iowa State (2-2)

Home losses
Iowa 2013-2014 (4).....Iowa State (1)
Iowa 2014-2015 (4).....Iowa State (1)

Iowa 2015-2016 (0).....Iowa State (1)

ISU has 6 currently ranked AP Top 25 teams left on their schedule to only 3 for Iowa.

About Baylor scoring 60 on ISU in the second half. Shouldn’t happen, but ISU scored 51 so was outscored 9 points in the second half which is less than the 15 Iowa got outscored by in the second half at ISU.

Iowa’s record against ISU in the Fran era 1-5 so don’t think that bodes well for some who try to convince people how superior their team is. When you say how ISU is a bad team it just makes your loss to ISU look even worse that you lost to a bad team, cheers.

Iowa worries much more than about just beating isu. Maybe if isu was more worried about their whole season than beating Big Bro they wouldn't lose to UAB in the tourney.

Your stats show that the Big 12 has been overrated each of the past 5 years. Of course that is also backed up by how the Big 12 pees down their leg in the NCAA tourney.

LOL, to Uthoff? You've watched basketball this year outside of ISU right? Niang is a closer comparison. In fact, Uthoff may be the best player on either team right now the way he has been playing.

How old are you? You are either an adolescent or mentally unstable.
Many posters on HR are considerate and intelligent posters with an outsider's view on ISU and other subjects. Which is interesting and refreshing. Not every ISU fan hates Iowa, I have stated that I hope Iowa wins the rest of their regular season games, it benefits both teams. I personally appreciate Iowa's heart and discipline, ISU has loads of talent but struggles in those two areas. Now I will await your response of childish name calling or little brother insults.

If isu continues to play defense as they have been they could easily end up with 10+ losses. Hardly what anyone would would consider "elite".

Jamie Pollard is the picture perfect definition of "little brother syndrome". The isu fan base by in large also acts that way. Just go look at cry-clown fanatic. If you don't like being treated that way then set out to change the culture at isu.

Of course be careful though, if you try Pollard will probably attack you on Twitter.

isu fans including Chrissy Williams and Brent with Blummers have said isu is a final four team before the season began. Some isu fans said after the Hawks took down MSU that isu should have been ranked #1. With how isu plays defense that is a joke.

Oh so now I have a problem when I act just like isu fan on cry-clown fanatic.

D UP Clone is my hero. There are others, many others but maybe you will start to get it.

If an ISU fan acted like you did on "cry-clown fanatic" they would also fall in the category of having a problem

Great then start calling them out. Would you like for me to post some threads for you to go after all this poor behavior by isu fans on cry-clown fanatic? You can take on the role of curing the isu fan base of all its "problemed" fans.

You sure will be a busy little bee now won't you?

Just say the word and I will start linking. But ell us your handle so we know it is you going after all the isu fans that have a "problem".

I'm not in love with Pollard but the dude is solid in marketing. Look at ISU facilities and ticket sales prior to his hiring and contrast that with today. It's pretty amazing.

Yes, it could've gotten worse. Filling stadiums is becoming increasingly difficult, as you should be acutely aware of. The fact these things are trending up when he's not had a ton of success to sell is pretty amazing.

This should keep you busy for a while. Let me know when you are done with this one and I will give you more.

This will be so much fun. A clone fan calling out other clown fans for being douches. The ISIS posts really show isu class.

I read all the posts, most give reasons for their hatred and it sounds like they hate Iowa because of people like you. Arrogant, haughty fans that feel the need to belittle everything ISU is associated with: their conference, university, teams, fans, etc. There are superiority/inferiority complexes at work here and fans like you are the reason things never get civil.

I often post just to mock the behavior of the isu fan base. You find my posts appalling yet it appears, as I expected, you will not call out the isu douchy behavior.

How many more threads do you want me to post? All I have to do is a simple search and cry-clown fanatic gives me a list of threads to choose from. The isu fan base is exactly how I have described them. isu coaches, players, admins also behave exactly how I describe them. The best part is just how far dopes like you are willing to go in order to ignore it all. You tell me how wrong I am and then ignore the mountain of evidence I have backing my assertions.

So when again can we expect for you to start calling them out?
