Southern Miss is also in the Atlantis tourney and ISU already beat them in Hilton this season. If ISU loses to Alabama tomorrow then they will most liekly play Southern Miss in the 7th place game in the Bahamas.
Michigan also could play Oregon on Friday in the Bahamas and has a home game vs Oregon in 3 weeks.
I think teams schedule their OOC opponents prior to knowing who will all be in these holiday tournaments.

Yep, UNI played Old Dominion twice in a row last year (once in a tournament on Mon 11-19-18 and then 4 days later at Old Dominion). They split the 2 games (win, then loss).
