I've never claimed those games are exciting to a casual fan and I wouldn't watch if it wasn't Cyclones on the front of the jersey. I don't watch UNI or Wisconsin games either. ISU was a bad offensive team last year, and they played the way they needed to be competitive. It's not a terribly fun or easy way to play and great job on the staff to get the players to buy in to it.

Yep grab, push and hack worked for isu last year let’s see if it does again.
Definitely doing a good job in the portal plus couple good HS kids. If they get Green, they could be better than they were last year.
I have a co-worker who went to ISU, but was an Iowa fan during the Olson and Davis era's. Alford sent him back to ISU. I guarantee you he won't continue to watch ISU BBall if they can't find an offense, and I don't think he's alone. Wisconsin BBall isn't for everyone unless they just win. Good luck making the Sweet 16 next year.
You hope that grabbing, pushing and hacking doesn’t get called and the clowns fight out games in the 40’s? You would think the isu wrestling team would get more support if this is in fact what clown fans love.
Not nearly as exciting as it was to finish the Big 10 season on a roll. A young team got better as the year went on, just had a bad last game against a hot opponent. Iowa was hot, hot, hot at the end of the year, probably one of the hottest teams in the country. They got a crappy draw in the NCAA and had a bad game but that doesn't diminish what they did in February and March.
The Hawkeye's have more than ISU, and I'm sure you know that.
My post wasn't smack talk. I root for all the Iowa teams, but if last years ISU team offense wasn't mainly about personnel and talent level, you'd better win at a high level, or expect to lose a segment of the fan base. When ISU has a good men's BBall team I usually view several games. Last years version was unwatchable to me, and my ISU fan co-worker.
How exciting was it to watch your best football team in school history be owned by the Hawks.

Nope not at all. Fran doesn’t have a 2 win season on his record at Iowa. The thing about isu is regardless of coach or sport they always revert back to their mean. Losing will come back to isu just as it always does and clown fans will excuse it away just as they always have. Almost as predicable as the sun rising in the east.
I'll take the highs (3 Sweet 16s, 4 Big 12 tourney championships) and the lows (2 wins), over consistent mediocrity.
26 wins is mediocre? Player of the year and first team All-Americans are mediocre? Funny how conference tourney championships count for isu but not Iowa.

I don't get why people still try to crap on ISU for getting transfers when it has obviously worked for them and for a vast majority of teams are using it to their advantage. Also, nothing wrong with relying on defense to win. Fans of other teams might not find it appealing to watch but I imagine ISU fans are fine with it as long as they are winning.

Look I didn’t start this thread. I didn’t even post in it until clown fans started running their mouths. What is very apparent is that clown fans are A OK running their off their mouths but when anything comes back at them they get really pissy about it.
I am curious though do you show the same outrage when clown fans have a 38,000+ post thread about Iowa Recruiting on cryclown fanatic or is your outrage confined only to an Iowa site? Any old link showing us how you scold clown fans will work .

Wasn’t ISU 2-22 a couple of years ago? The portal can be a curse or a blessing. One thing is for certain, the representatives you get in portal are not coming to Ames for education. I’m old but I still think the life preparation one gets in college is the long term goal.
ISU has graduated the vast majority of their transfers and several of them have gotten graduate degrees. You're way off here.

Your team sucked most of the last half of the season (4 - 7 in February and March) and the your draws were a joke in the tourney. Don't sugar-coat it. Getting a head coach-less LSU was a gift, followed by a neutered WIvteam without their superstar guard. And what's laughable is that when your team finally faced a team with a pulse, your team could.not.score. Not a shock, because they pretty much sucked once opponents figured out that if you take Brockington out of the game, the clones will struggle to score 60. LOL!
