I had a similar discussion with some folks from Mexico City back in 2015 when Trump won the Republican primary. We were vacationing in Costa Rica and they asked what was going on in the states that would bring such a man to power. I told them not to worry, that he was only the Republican nominee and that the rest of the country hadn't lost its mind. That discussion still haunts me, and boy did I feel stupid.

They were busy partying in National Harbor last night while electing a new Chair and are working off a hangover today.
That sounds like something that should have been done before January 20. I know they probably had a schedule but they needed to be better prepared for this and not having a leader until after the inauguration was not smart.
