I have never understand the term "and not to mention", followed directly by mentioning what you are not going to mention. Why not just say it?

I am pretty sure during a couple of those "each and every year" seasons you speak about, most fans feel like they got their money's worth. I know I do.

He is pretty much the worst coach in the U.S. Can't recruit, can't coach. Iowa sucks and will always suck under Ferentz. If you are thinking of cheering for Iowa, don't. It is a waste of time. Don't watch them, don't cheer for them, don't even think about them. Ferentz doesn't even care about winning. If they got a new coach they would for sure score 40 points a game and win the conference every year. Easily.

Honest question to fans like the O.P. If you had the power to make the hire with Iowa's resources and standing who would it be and why? Remember we all like to play armchair quarterback or A.D here.

This off season you'll likely have at least three programs with higher football prestige and more money looking for a new head coach( Tennessee, Nebraska, Florida). Switch out Arkansas or LSU if you want(Orgeron a SEC head coach?). Who is gonna come to Iowa and be better than Ferentz in three years? Not mocking you at all for whoever you pick either because as fans we all want Nick Saban or Urban Meyer results but even programs like Notre Dame and FSU have had really bad years.

I used to tear threads like this to shreds. Until Ferentz himself added legitimacy to them by adopting the Kirk 2.0 moniker the way he did back in 2015. Not only is it a veiled admission he's been lagging behind the progression of college football, but he abandoned the concept as quickly as he enabled it.

We all have it good by comparison, and we are blessed to have had two coaches that have spared us the horror of what came before for nearly 40 years. KF can stay as long as he likes as far as I'm concerned, he's earned that.
