Iowa isn’t an original Big Ten member, they joined a few years after the conference was established.
But for your point of the 10 schools from before the PSU expansion, these are the ones that have lost in the title game sinc MSU’s title in 2000.

No NW, Purdue, Minny, or Iowa.
I’m rooting for Purdue. Painter seems like a decent guy that likely runs a clean program and I don’t have any problem with their players. I can’t stand Izzo and what he has done to the Big Ten, so I’m rooting against them if they eliminate Duke. MSU as a whole athletic department and university needs to be mocked down several pegs with their shitty reaction to their scandal, plus all of the other assault coverups. Not to mention at least one b-ball player’s name being listed in the extra benefits scandal that is ongoing.

That’s insane to think if Pur wins just 2 more games they’ll be the 7th different B1G team to play for the Nat Title in the last 20 years!
