Then why was it over 80 degrees in that venue? Sounds as if Chambers might have slipped the janitors some mullah to turn up the thermostat to wear our team out and it appears to have worked.
Iowa was gassed at the end of the game.
 
They said it is always hot in that gym pregame on BTN then add in the warmer weather in Philly today with 90% humidity in an old gym that probably doesn’t have the best HVAC system.
 
Their used to be windows at the top of either side court that would open if needed. That was a bunch of years ago, so they may not be there now.
 
In the second game, Princeton beat my Penn Quakers by 14.
As you all may know, in years gone by they played double headers in the Palestra, with Penn usually playing the first game when it was home, and any of the other 4 playing the 2nd game.
When Penn was not home, one played the first and the other played the second. And the local team’s fans from the first game cheered for the local school in the second game ( that would not happen these days sadly).
I attended the last time Iowa played there with Don Nelson your big star. Think was in ‘61. Played Villanova as I recall — and don’t remember who won
