He's a Senior this year. Sat behind 2 time Champ Schwarm his freshman year and won it the next two years.

Welcome aboard Jack. This is good he can red shirt next year and take over the following year while Jason R and Mejia redshirt then the war is on best man in.
Another smooth transition at the lower weights similar to McD / Ramos --> Gilman / Clark --> Wagner/Renteria/Mejia (Lee?)

Wow, what a great day to be a Hawkeye! I love his attitude - the impending competition @ 125 would scare some people away. Not Jack. Sounds like he embraces the opportunity to drill with the best on a daily basis. Traditionally, our best wrestlers have bought in to the "iron sharpens iron" mentality. Seems like he is on the right track!
This is a great commit, but part of me wonders on the bridge thing with Jack. If Justin or Jason (Lots of J's at this weight) can beat Wagner I am beginning to think Brands will pull a redshirt. There are already interviews he considered it with Sorensen, but Sorensen didn't show the confidence to warrant it.

Jack will have a year in the room wrestling with Clark and Gilman...he will progress greatly. IMO, it is going to be tough for either freshman to unseat him at first unless one of them is just that much better. JRent has consistently beat him but it's always been close. Haven't see Meija enough to make that call.
