Jackson Makes Thorpe Finalists

Damn fine player. If he gets even one pick Friday he should all but lock up the award...though if the last two games are any indication, don't expect young Mr. Lee to even look to his side of the field, let alone actually throw there.

That's what was so maddening on Saturday. Jackson was literally taking away half the field and the remaining ten guys had difficulty covering the other half.

But to your original point, while Doodle would selfishly love to see him back next year, rationally speaking he'd be a fool to not take his shot at the NFL now while he's hot. Thorpe Award or no Thorpe Award, his draft stock likely will never be any higher.

I don't think Nebraska is smart enough to realize they shouldn't throw JJ's way. Literally, they are that dumb based upon the games I have watched the last three years.

My bet is JJ will have two picks, one for a pick six by him and one by the outlaw.

Schindler's List from Purdue made a couple throws at Jackson last Saturday and at least two were almost picked. Needless to say, they went away from him after that, though by then it didn't matter.

Right and Rugumba was good in the Michigan game now look at him. Things change.
