I couldn’t open the link. Forty years ago when I spent some time in Dallas I had a run-in with fire ants. They suck….CSB

When we live down south, we had some run-ins with them. It was kind of funny: a fire ant could bite me, and I did not react at all. My wife (no pics w/o OF sub) could get one fire ant bite and her entire foot would swell up.

Constant battle with those evil things here at Tradition Manor.

The various products you can buy to control them totally suck. Yeah, you'll destroy the mound but a new one will pop up a few feet away. So, you treat that one. New one pops up, Treat, pop, rinse repeat.

In the end, you're not exterminating them, you're just chasing them around the yard.
