You're right, KF's record of producing NFL caliber WRs is unquestionable.
Kirk’s offense is not and was never designed to develop wide receivers. Damn… he has been at Iowa 25 years now and you haven’t figured that out yet? Kirk is gonna run the ball, play solid defense, have better than most special teams, value the ball and play the field position game to beat you. He throws a pass every once in a while just to keep the fans interested.

The NCAA is on life support as the P4 conferences are taking the whole over. Don’t expect NCAA to do anything without the ok from P4 leadership. NCAA will soon manage a watered down collegiate group outside of the P4 or perhaps all sports other than football and basketball.
If he comes to Iowa, he will get called for offensive pass interference when he grabs the DB's face mask and stiff arms them. The catch against Deshaun Lee in the end zone was outrageous that he got away with that contact. If he had an Iowa uniform on he would have been called for it.

True, but its not just Iowa. We're just to close to the situation. Its everybody but 7 or 8 teams really. I could certainly see Iowa getting into the CFP round of 12 if Lester gets the QB thing worked out in the next couple of seasons, but like most it would take a really advantageous draw for us to get to the last 4 teams. There is just too much of a gap in talent throughout the rosters of the top teams.
Well we just need a top 25 NIL fund and expect our coaches to get us into the 12 or 14 or 16 whatever it ends up being.
Once rev share kicks in Iowa will have top 25 money but it won't get WRs anyway.
Miami already offered Smith 2x what OSU was offering out of HS. As long as Brian Hartline is the OSU coach, those WRs aren't going anywhere but the NFL.

I'm not saying Hartline isn't a good coach but Bud would be successful at OSU with all that talent.
Getting the talent is the #1 job of a position coach.
The players he gets are so good they don't need much coaching, they just need playing time.

He could sign a lot of players if he was GM of the Dodgers because of some of the same advantages $$$, winning history, talent at other positions. I'm just saying it isn't nearly as hard to get wide receivers to commit to OSU. 5 star receivers aren't going to commit to Iowa if we hire Hartline as WR coach.
Iowa’s need for WR is not as great as it might be for other D-1 football teams. You only need 1….UIowa and KF prefer to use tight ends… I would like to see UIowa get a speedster on the outside though…(the last one we had from tOSU, had hands of stone)…but then maybe we Dan get a qb who can throw the ball over 20 yds. First….
NCAA would lose in court to DIII athletes when it comes to NIL.
NCAA cannot justify telling students how much money they can make working jobs while going to school.
