When was the last time Republicans cut the budget? again, they had 2 years under Trump controlling both houses.

9/30/16 saw a y-o-y debt increase of more than 1.4 trillion dollars.
The end Trump's first FY in office saw that deficit reduced by over 50%.
In '18 and '19 both deficits were smaller than Obama's last.
COVID blew the lid off in '20.
'21 ended with a debt increase larger than Obama oversaw in '16.
'22, '23, and '24 all saw debt increases over 2 trillion dollars in new debt each year.
I've already explained 40 days into the '25 FY and we're on a pace for 4.3 trillion in new debt.

It's insane.
