Have to say between the Caucuses and the NCAA our growing and increasingly cool downtown is getting a ton of good national publicity. Des Moines should be a regular first round or regional site. If Iowa plays here, or even the Clowns, we will sell out WFA and might sell it out anyway.

Lots of basketball left. I pray that we can finish in the top 4 and be a top 4 seed. If we were a 3 or 4, would we get sent to Des Moines? I thought they said they protect the top 4 seeds, or is it just the top 2?
If Iowa does play in Des Moines, Guarantee that place will sell out and probably be a HUGE home court advantage. Can't imagine what tickets would go for. A question, where is the Sweet 16/Elite 8 site? St Louis?

Remember that a given first/second round site can feed into multiple sweet 16/elite 8 sites. There is not a "the" site Des Moines is tied to.
Is there any doubt the DSM games will be a sellout? In my mind Wells Fargo is going to be packed no matter who the teams are.
Yeah Des Moines is gonna treat it like the damn Olympics which it should. Pretty sure the presale sold out in no time. The only question will be if teams fill their allotment. All teams get one don't they?
Tickets are a bit outrageous already. Rose Bowl Part Deux. Hopefully with a better ending, and certainly an easier drive.
When I was in politics I dealt with a lot of out of state media and operations people. They were consistently surprised at the choice and quality of our restaurants. Downtown's options have only gotten better, with several restaurants featured on the national cooking shows. The kids say the night life is pretty hip, although I have no idea what that even means in 2016.
With Clowns and Cats joining the Hawks in beating a No.1 here the Hawkeye State might get some well timed media love.

Des Moines has become a great city and is definitely Iowa's crown jewel. Hell, it's the only city most people from the coasts could even name in the whole state.
