I was watching a YouTube video about America's best hot dog joints and one of them was Jimmy Buff's in Newark, New Jersey, which I've since gathered is something of a NJ landmark.

This is how Jimmy's describe their dog: "A Jimmy Buff Italian hot dog goes on a quarter of a large roll of Italian "Pizza" bread (sort of a fat pita). The dog is cooked in Hot Oils and then topped with sauteed onions, peppers and potatoes."

Anyone here had one? Or have untasted impressions?

Seems too bready to me, and the potatoes look like they have potential to just be a filler, like rice in a burrito and the dog itself outmatched by everything else. That said, it's probably delicious. Although some of the pictures I've seen have American cheese stuffed into the bread first and ketchup on top... pass on that.
