JoBo——Joe T Wisky Comparison

i believe the error in your thinking is that Gonzaga was way up late, and the mandate was give up a lay up, but do not foul, whixh is why JoeT was able to get to the rim with lay up after driving lay up.

in the course of any other type of scenario not , late and up big, you will see, as we have, how teams sag, sag, and sag off JoeT who will then force difficulty plays resulting in TOs
Not talking late, middle of the second half and no way was clean up time. Try rewatching the game.

Why ignore all the other aspects that these players have, that are way better than Joe? Bizarre.
I didn’t ignore them, just brought up the asset to turnover bit because ultimately that is JoBo’s strong suit and JT’s perceived major weakness. Bringing up the difference in FG accuracy, rebounds and scoring just shows the major disparities between the game’s elite and the Hawkeye PGs.

I'm not disagreeing with your overall premise but it does seem a little disingenuous that you include Joe T's hockey and almost assists in your argument.
In 4 minutes, JT made the little jumper in the lane and his play got the Hawks to the rim 4 times. In 36 minutes., JoBo’s play got the Hawks to the rim 2-3 times.

IMO the OP does a lot of trolling.

I think Joe T has been dealing with some undisclosed injuries, that has reduced playing time.

Isn't it terrible to have the most efficient offense in all of college BBall, and a PG near an assist record for Iowa. Never mind that he's in the Top 10 in the B1G for 3's, and rebounds well for a PG.

Just seems odd to compare Joe to any of those guys who are complete players, and frankly not even in the same stratosphere. Joe's strong suit is his speed and defense. Jbo's strong suit is his shooting, and taking care of the ball. It's pretty apparent, that Fran favors that right now. If we could take both of their assets, we'd have a really damn good PG. Joe needs more than 4 MPG, I agree, but when we are ahead by double digits for most of the game, on the road, against Wisconsin, I'm also fine with Fran not messing with what was working.
On Joe's basket, Wisconsin let him drive down the lane and take an 8 foot jumper. He just stood there and they backed up to guard other people. It was bizarre to watch. That tells you all you need to know on what other teams think of Joe right now. As long as he keeps hitting it like he did, he should play more. He had that amazing pass to Pat, then turned around and dribbled it out of bounds. This completely sums up Joe right now.

Amen. I totally agree with what they said on the broadcast about a bad shot being almost as bad as a turnover so in that regard Connor deserves some scrutiny. JoeT plays half the minutes and scores the same amount as connor, is a better fg and ft shooter, has more assists per minute, and actually puts pressure on the other team on both sides of the ball.

Jbo has holes in his game but still has huge upside. Hell, he even averages slightly more rebounds per game than CM and he's a pg, not a 4. I really don't mean to rip connor as I know he's giving it his all, but it's simply not fair he's playing more than guys who do a lot more to help the team win. Yes, JT needs to cut down on the turnovers but they are no worse than connors bricks....or the 3 turnovers he had Thursday without getting yanked like Joe did after 1.

Jbo's defender cant sag down on luka like connors does and cm hasn't even been that good at feeding LG lately. Love his heart but it's fair to point out the minutes arent warranted. I'm sick of the nepotism, I don't think we have 6 losses if fran had more fair rotations
Keegan is taking those minutes right now, and is a far superior option to Joe. Fran mostly plays our starters for the first 8 minutes of every game, but after that, Keegan is getting more minutes than Connor.

Comparative information was intended for JoBo as the assist to turnover ratio is what he and Iowa basketball receive the most plaudits for. Trying to get the point across that the elite all around PGs’s ratios are much worse because of their much more aggressive style of play, and that Fran would probably have a hard time accepting that.

Come on man. Joe T has a 13.3 PER, it's not good.

You're clamoring for the fast backup TE to play, who can't catch the football or run good routes, over the really good blocking TE who helps lead the nation in running.

Here are assist to turnover statistics for 6 excellent point guards that I watch quite a bit and are the creme de la creme. Jared Butler 5.2A and 2.8T 1.85%, Marcus Carr 5.1A and 2.1T, 2.43%, Ayo Dosunmu 5.1A and 3.2T 1.59%, Jalen Suggs 4.4A and 3.0T 1.47%, Marcus Zegarowski 4.4A and 2.3T 1.91%, and finally Caitlin Clark 6.5A and 4.9T 1.33%. So with Franball and the narrow minded tunnel vision of FM when it comes to point guard play, Carr might be the only player of the 6 that he might play even though 5 of them will be playing professionally next year and the 6th could win NCAA freshman of the year! The assist to turnover ratio can be way overblown!

Ask Illinois and Ayo if turnovers matter....
