12 seeded Arkansas - Little Rock in the Midwest Region played in Oklahoma City. I'd take that...

Though I believe Iowa would beat Arkansas - Little Rock by double figures. If Iowa remained a 5 seed but played a different 12 seed I may not seem so confident. Upon further research I have found that 11 of the last 12 years at least 2 12 seeds have advanced to the round of 32. By the way Lunardi has UNI a 12 seed. I hope the selection committee doesn't get cute and pair us up since we didn't play in the regular season.12 seeded Arkansas - Little Rock in the Midwest Region played in Oklahoma City. Exactly or lose and drop to a 6 seed as funny as that sounds. Wouldn't have to play a 1 seed until the elite 8 to go to the Final Four.Make a mini-run in the BTT and improve our seed?
I would rather avoid both teams if possible. A-LR has try hard written all over them. I'd expect them to come out bombing 3s and play for the win in a potential 2 pt game where they only shoot 3s at the end just because...like a certain team in a certain game a certain time ago.Though I believe Iowa would beat Arkansas - Little Rock by double figures. I know what you're saying anyone can beat anyone on a given day (we know that all to well) but if you look at their schedule the only power 5 conference team they played is Texas Tech and they lost by double digits. When you look at their players individual stats nothing stands out as overly impressive for playing in the Sun Belt conference.I would rather avoid both teams if possible. If they don't get a 3 seed I would just as soon they got a 6 seed so they don't have to play a 1 seed in the sweet 16. To get what I'm saying look at Lunardi's bracket and switch places with Iowa (a 5 seed) and Wisconsin (a 6 seed).Midwest region...yes please. (assuming we end up on the 4/5 line) getting a chance at playing in Chicago the 2nd weekend would really improve our chances of making a memorable run. I want to end up in Des Moines too, but I think this team is good enough to win their first two games regardless of venue...but that Sweet 16 game is would be a different animal all together.

Playing any 12 seed as a 5 seed is obviously perilous and I agree that I'd rather be a 6 seed than a 5 seed but I think you may be the one smoking something (no offense). Arkansas - Little Rock has played absolutely no one this year with the exception of Texas Tech who beat them by double digits. They lost 3 games in the Sun Belt conference including their last game. Look at their team and individual stats nothing jumps out as overly impressive in my opinion. I definitely would rather play them then UNI.I don't know what people are smoking on here, but Arkansas Little-Rock might be the best mid major this year. They went 27-4 and if they don't win the Sunbelt tournament, have a decent shot at making it as an at large bid. They are similar in nature to the Stephen F Austin teams from a couple years back that always gave the big boys fits. I'd rather be a 6 seed and play a struggling power 5 opponent than a 5 seed and play one of the better mid majors out there.

I'm OK with that! You are right about them only beating Texas Tech, but I still wouldn't want to play a mid major conference champ. I also don't like being the 6 seed in Palm's bracket where we would have to play the play in game winner. I say we just win the Big 10, get our 3 seed and enjoy the luxuries of playing in Des Moines.
Arkansas LR is 27-4, not sure what style they play but not looking forward to that game.
Can't go by record, lost to the only power 5 conference team they played at Texas Tech by 12 points and it wasn't that close. Their strength of schedule is 241st if that tells you anything.Arkansas LR is 27-4, not sure what style they play but not looking forward to that game.
