Absolutely right. Those players and those attitudes have been the missing ingredients in other good teams Fran has had at Iowa. Good teams, but they wilted under pressure and were easily intimidated by bigger, more physical teams. Of course, "physical" has no place in basketball, but reality demands that, as long as the refs allow it, you have to give at least as good as you get. This Iowa team understands that and is happy to oblige to the degree necessary to win.

Hoping against hope that Iowa will see NCAA refs who understand they're enforcing basketball rules, not rugby. That would be awesome.

Maybe already mentioned elsewhere but props to Connor for his and-one basket directly after Pur-didn't made their late run to pull within one. That was hella scrappy and huge.

Yes those 3 guys are tough, as are the Murray bros and Rebraca will put a body on peiple. CMAC needs coach up PMAC on toughness/physical play inside the paint so he can switch on post players and defend if needed. If Chet Holmgren can get it done, PMAC looks like a body builder in comparison.

Was yelling at the tv for Connor to dribble drive past the big guy all game. The one time he dribbles into him, he gets the and one. It was a huge play
