If you remember, back in the day the Big Ten had a Thursday/Saturday schedule and schools were paired together per road trips (kind of like how the west coast teams are now paired). Apparently the Iowa/Minnesota road trip in those days was just the worst for other Big Ten Teams (weather was usually horrible and Iowa/Minnesota were good and you were playing in front of sold-out rabid crowds).

RIP sold-out rabid crowds at the Field House and during the early years at CHA.
