Jok has now become Uthoff's equal offensively.

Jok is now leading the fast break, driving to the basket and knocking down threes as well as Uthoff. Uthoff is probably the best defensive player in the BIG and I hope Jok learns a lot from him during the rest of the year.

Jok has scored a lot of wide open 3s this year precisely because Uthoff is the best offensive player. Teams focus on Uthoff. Jok never has the best defender guarding him. Teams help off him. Teams that want to stop JU do not help off Jarrod leaving other Hawkeyes open. There is a reason Clemmons, Gessell, Jok and Woodbury are ALL having the best scoring years of their career. It starts with Uthoff, not Jok.

Not completely, in the last Purdue game Painter said they were more concerned about controlling Jok and that's why they started with Davis on Jok.

PJ and JU benefit from each other and make each other better. But right now, if I had to choose one guy, I'd have to go with PJ. No disrespect at all to JU, but Pete's comin' on like crazy.

I think it was implied they had put Davis on Uthoff in 1st game and Uthoff had dominated, so they figured there was more bang for the buck putting him on Jok.

It's close. Though I still give overall game to Uthoff. Uthoff has more ways to score.

Jok has more upside though, IMO. That said Jok is still improving every game and if he keeps getting stronger both to and at the hole, he may well supplant Uthoff by years end.

It also made allot more sense to put him on Jok because R Davis is a guard.

Trying to defend Uthoff with a guard and putting their 4 man on Clemmons was a retarded strategy by Painter.

Jok and Uthoff are very good but this year the Hawks are getting contributions all over the place and exploiting match ups better than I would have anticipated. This team is really fun to watch.

JU is a team player first, which has allowed PJ to thrive. However, we will need for JU to assert himself down the stretch and take over a close game or two like he did the first half at ISU. Hield has saved Oklahoma 3-4 times with unconscious clutch shooting and both JU and PJ have that ability and I think we will need it.

I think the first time this needs to happen is this week at Indiana.

Jok vs Uthoff, 1 on 1, loser runs suicides. I'll take Uthoff and give the points.
