Just thought I'd post for anyone remotely interested about a former Hawkeye (and Illini):
Beutjer had a good start in his first game as offensive coordinator at Lyons Township (Western Springs, IL). The team lost almost its entire offense and is starting a new soph QB, but fared really well against fellow 8-A opponent Warren.
The sophomore QB Ben Bryant may be one to watch the next couple years. I've known him and his family since he was about 8. Very good athlete, big kid (6'3" all ready) and getting starting experience in 8-A as a sophomore.
