everyone would enjoy seeing JJ one more year as Hawk, and seems all woudl be happy for him if he goes. However, the 'legend of Dez's stock falling' needs to stop. One reason, and only one, he came back is because the feedback he received after his junior year was as a mid to late round pick. He wanted to graduate and improve his stock. He did graduate, but his draft status didn't. He's proving them all silly.
It is refreshing to see our fan base support Johnson for (potentially) going to the NFL.
Agreed. Used to never miss an NFL game on TV. Did not watch a game last year and the Defiant Behavior exhibited this year has sealed the NFL’s fate with me. Could now care less.If Jackson thinks Iowa has a legitimate chance at winning the BIG next season, he could possibly come back, but other then that he will go. The NFL made a mistake on King, he is proving he was a first rounder. Jackson should probably go, with all the anthom kneelers, he had better get his money while some people are still watching the NFL games.
What got me was the cries for social justice on one hand then showing the black Panther sign when sacking a white QB and the Raiders OL letting thier own QB get his back broken because He wouldn't kneel . Cant cry racism while being a racist yourself , sorry.Agreed. Used to never miss an NFL game on TV. Alot of reverse racism involved. No one willing to confront that issue for fear of bad pr. Alot of double standards out there. What got me was the cries for social justice on one hand then showing the black Panther sign when sacking a white QB and the Raiders OL letting thier own QB get his back broken because He wouldn't kneel . the people who have stopped watching the NFL are confronting the issue .Alot of reverse racism involved. No one willing to confront that issue for fear of bad pr. Alot of double standards out there.
Dick Rambone said you can't cry racism while being a racist yourself, sorry. His words, not mine.Alot of reverse racism involved. No one willing to confront that issue for fear of bad pr. Alot of double standards out there.
Exactly my point. A number of players who have something to say about racism but are racist themselves.Dick Rambone said you can't cry racism while being a racist yourself, sorry. His words, not mine.
Got it. You are calling those players racist.Exactly my point. A number of players who have something to say about racism but are racist themselves.
No you don't got it. There are players who are outspoken about racism but are themselves racist. Watch it with the assumptions bud. I'm no fool. I pay close attention to what I see. On top of that you've read my messages on a board and don't know Jack $hit about me.Got it. You are calling those players racist.
That's true, it is hard to know anything about someone based on postings on a message board and that you have never met. How again do you know these players and that they are racist? No you don't got it. There are players who are outspoken about racism but are themselves racist. Watch it with the assumptions bud. You don't but to flash the black panthers sign after sacking a white QB is akin to a white guy wearing a KKK dunce cap in public . Both are hate groupsThat's true, it is hard to know anything about someone based on postings on a message board and that you have never met. For the umpteenth time, they do not have a ‘right’ to this behavior during their work day/place. If the employers (owners/nfl) allow it, then fine. But you may have to deal with loss of customers.PS I hope JJ goes pro and kicks arse . Those who have decided to not watch are within their rights just as the players have the right to kneel. Last I will say on the issue
Lol. There is no such thing as a Black Panther sign. A clenched fist is a sign of unity and solidarity. Black people have used it as a sign of black power and expressing unity for oppressed people. You don't but to flash the black panthers sign after sacking a white QB is akin to a white guy wearing a KKK dunce cap in public . i guess all those pictures from the 60s and 70s are all fake news and the Black Panthers didn't originate that sign . So if that's true then the rebel battle flag was just a battle flag and its use by the hate groups is a separate issue .Lol. There is no such thing as a Black Panther sign. Thanks for the education .
That is correct. The Black Panthers did not originate the clenched fist as a sign of solidarity. I know the Republican Party used it in the early 1900s as a show of unity. Unions used it in the 1950s. Migrant workers used it. Feminist groups used it. Black groups also used it as a show of black power.i guess all those pictures from the 60s and 70s are all fake news and the Black Panthers didn't originate that sign .
