Juan Harris to Indiana....for now

Thomes, you think Iowa would take Juan back? I think it is pretty obvious Iowa is no longer interested.
Absolutely not. Never said anything even close to that. Only things I've said would be the exact opposite of that actually.

I don't think there is any chance that Kirk would offer him a spot.

I think what the guy was saying was Iowa did offer him a spot and he took it. Then he de-committed. Iowa stayed with him. He re-committed then de-de-committed. Iowa stayed with it. He then re-re-committed and then de-de-de-committed and Iowa said enough is enough we are moving on.

So Juan did spurn Iowa 3 times basically.

Whatever you want to believe

Why would we have let him come back after he left the first time if it was not his decision? It doesn't make sense to have us tell him to keep his options open, remove his verbal, and then have him come back to Iowa. Again, after the last time I am sure he will not be welcome back but that was obviously not the case the first time.

Yep... That is what I am saying.

I agree. I obsess over the roster, stats, and recruiting .... I had Harris down as a high-risk/high-reward recruit. I didn't see him EVEN CONTRIBUTING at a high level until 2019 ... and that wouldn't even have been as a starter. Had his development worked out favorably ... I would have seen him as a 2-year starter.
And in that scenario he seems like the kind of kid who would not stick it out if he wasn't starting right away

Iowa's starters play a lot of snaps. Nobody weighing 370+ is playing many snaps in a row and being effective. If he played the last drive of the big10 championship game they would have continued play with him dead around the 50 yard line.
