A big recruit commits to a Big 10 school. What’s happens Wednesday?
Should Iowa fans be getting excited?A big recruit commits to a Big 10 school.
Unbiased views in any new / media / reporting is almost impossible to find these days. Willie seems about as down the middle as it gets in wrestling. Most Hawk fans don't like to hear anything good about another program, mostly because we know Iowa is all that really matters. When it comes to evaluation of wrestling talent, not sure there is anyone better out there than Willie, he specializes in being an expert and it shows. His music takes are a totally different thing, those seem to be for entertainment purposes only and sometimes border on absurd.I was holding him to the expectations that I would have for any journalist and that is being unbiased. That wasn't fair. Willie is a huge wrestling advocate and fan and happens to be a journalist also. As I previously stated, I was kind of over sensitive after seeing my Hawks tank every match and I hold no ill will. He's a pretty good dude that happens to root for the enemy.
No idea. Just passing along what I read. Said Monday, then delayed to Wednesday. Don't even know if they were referring to the Nelson commit to MN to be honestShould Iowa fans be getting excited?

If nothing else I give him a lot of credit for bringing Who's #1 to IC, which was a great event in a very short timeframe and gave the best kids a chance to wrestle in front of the best fans.
Lol. I don't have anything for you just curious what the fans are thinkingYou tell me.
This could be true for the Class of 23. But the train is leaving the station for the Class of 22. 17 of the top 25 on Mat Scouts 2022 Big Board are committed.I have a feeling our next commit won’t be til after official visit weekend which is usually sept/oct.
Mendez said he won’t be committing til after he does all of his visits. Indicated December. Could be the same for others. Have to figure these are the top Guys Iowa is going after in 2022:This could be true for the Class of 23. UNCI seen on the predicament a interview with Joel Jesuroga. He sounded like he would be committing to a D1 program soon. I'd imagine him and his brother are a package deal. Let's hope that he chooses Iowa.
Kueter HWTMendez said he won’t be committing til after he does all of his visits. Indicated December. Could be the same for others. Have to figure these are the top Guys Iowa is going after in 2022:
Jesuroga 49
Mendez 41/49
Bouzakis 33/41
Franklin 197
Land 25/33
Garvin 157
Riggins 165
Voelker 197
From my understanding they made him an offer that’s going to be very tough to refuse.North Carolina lean?
Did the offer include being on a National Championship Team? From my understanding they made him an offer that’s going to be very tough to refuse.
Didn’t hear anything about that.Did the offer include being on a National Championship Team?
Haven’t seen a lot of lightweight success at UNC since Colman/Ramos. I’ve seen they have got talent in but haven’t developed them well. I don’t count O’Connor cause I see 49 as a middleweight. From my understanding they made him an offer that’s going to be very tough to refuse.
I’m talking about Joel who projects at 141/149 which is right in the wheelhouse for UNC right now.Haven’t seen a lot of lightweight success at UNC since Colman/Ramos. I’ve seen they have got talent in but haven’t developed them well. I don’t count O’Connor cause I see 49 as a middleweight.
UNC needs to be on our schedule.
As for the Jesuroga’s, it is a longgggg way from home.
I think the Jesuroga's are from Texas and are huge Ok St fans, but that's my recollectionUNC needs to be on our schedule.

And John Smith never let Nate out of his sight at Junior duals. Okie St will be in the mixI think the Jesuroga's are from Texas and are huge Ok St fans, but that's my recollection
Jesuroga came to Iowa for more then just SEP. The last I knew Iowa was the front runner, but the recruiting process could always change that I guess.I think the Jesuroga's are from Texas and are huge Ok St fans, but that's my recollection
I think we worry too much about where blue chippers fit in the mix. Can’t we just concentrate on discussing their spirituality?nate is clearly a great prospect, but where do people see him fitting with the hawks? If ybarra and drake both can’t make 125 in a few years, then it makes sense. But I have viewed drake as a 125 lifer

If Drake is a lifer I will be shocked. Now if they get Bouzakis and Mendez for 133/141 then Drake will be cutting to 125.nate is clearly a great prospect, but where do people see him fitting with the hawks?
