Junior duals is my favorite summer event. I hope team Iowa puts it's best out there. I was on iowa's junior dual team 3 years. It was a lot of fun. Anyways what's the potential team look like this year? Having Disney duals so close really splits up our best guys. Can't blame them who go to Disney Florida>Oklahoma.

100 Kimball
106 faught/Schriever
113 reeves/biscoglia
120 teske
126 Thomsen
132 milage/west
138 lara
145 Barnes
152 leisure/stots
160 brands
170 coleman
182 Lyons
195 shapiro/Bartel
220 wriendt
285 costello
When's the last time iowa won junior duals? Seem to get 3rd-8th a lot. They use to give 5lbs allowance, is this still the case?

Illinois has been an absolute wrecking ball in this event for some time now. Jersey and Cali are usually tough as nails. Oklahoma has been on a strong rise as of late. Finally Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, New York and Iowa have been steady for some time.

Iowa definitely has some HAMMERS this year. If they send their best, they will be super competitive. But, navigating the teams I listed without a loss, will take near perfection.

I assume Faught will definatley not be a 106 lber. Schriever hasn't been competing that I've seen since he got hurt at Folksyle Nationals. 2A runner up Kadel would likely be the favorite to fill the spot.

There are about half a dozen states with the horses to win this every year and of them the state that does the best job convincing their hammers to attend wins this event just about every year. Illinois has done a great job of this over the last decade but there has been a noticeable decline in stud participation the last couple years.

I agree. It still amazes me that Pennsylvania is so bad at this. For how well their studs travel, you would think they could put together a top notch team for this. Just goes back to your point. Whatever organization that is in charge of getting the team together will decide if a State can win it or not.

We took 3rd my sophomore year. Our team was stacked. Roster consisted of Cliff Moore, Dylan Long, Ryan Hiem, Tyle Nixt, Blu Wahle, Trey Clark, Tim Cory. Everyone on our team was a state champ, most multiple but of course me.

Doesn't Young Guns win Disney Duals every year?

Yes, that was my point. They travel well to that, but almost never send a top team to Freestyle/Greco Duals.
PA has sent top teams to cadet duals in the past but those same kids took a pass on the junior duals for whatever reason.
