Iowa knocked off Illinois with a nice run in the heavier weights to get to the Gold/Silver bracket. Got a bye tonight. Hopefully get to see Mirasola vs Dreshaun tomorrow.

Who you got if that match happens? Ross or Mirasola?

Honestly not sure. Will be interesting to see how Ross deals with his power. Don't know if he has faced someone as physically strong as Mirasola yet. He's going to have to finish clean and keep his ankles hidden.

Which Mirasola does he see? That’s the real question. Connor would be a solid favorite but I think he could hang with Cole. Both weighed in at 215.

Is deshaun committed to wrestling?? Always see football talks with him
I’m sure he won’t make that decision until senior year. He’s got offers in both sports but I think even though I’m biased wrestling he will be better at.

It was the only match he wrestled all weekend as well. Makes me wonder if he only made the trip for the match with Ross.
There aren't many at this level who can test him. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Massive "props" to Dreshaun who's barely a 16 year old against a grown man. I'd take that kid all day long on my team. Hope he chooses wrestling over football in college but his upside in Football is light years ahead of what Keuter's was/is. He's a generational talent for sure.

I
in what way is Dreshaun's football upside ahead of Kueter's?

sincere question.
none. These are men against boys in high school. College levels the playing field. Both Ross and Keuter are super athletic for their size. Let’s face it — most people their size don’t wrestle. Their chances for huge success are much better in wrestling

If it wasn’t for the money aspect of football, it would be a no brainer for both of them to concentrate on wrestling. Why do you think Gable is giving football a shot for the first time in his life instead of wrestling? Because he loves it so much😂

Is Ross a lock for Iowa? Or just since he’s ftom Iowa you guys are chalking it up

Magayna is sure getting lit up. I wonder what his dad has to say about that?

He probably just turned his back to him and walked away.

Witnessed this back when "Baby Max" was maybe in 4th grade (before he got held back).

Max was winning and then got put on his back. Mr. Mangina (as we call him) turned his back and literally walked away from his kid.

Guy is such a f'n tool.
