How often do you set the world record in the Olympics but don’t win gold? There can’t be many of those.
The USA team set the WR in the 4x400 mixed relay in heat1 to qualify for the finals, which they then lost to the Dutch.
I think that may have been a combo of things. 1- the event is relatively new so not as many times. 2- everyone can use different runners in the prelims and finals. It's crazy because the Dutch hardly qualified.
I find Dutch women to be quite attractive and the typical Dutch trait of being tall certainly helps, especially if you’re a leg man.

A couple of the US runners seemed to lose their speed and "gas" in the last 100 meters of their legs.
The anchor US lady is 19 years old and she may have gone out a little too fast in the first 100+ meters.

This gold medal the relay team was half Black. Because the Dutch are not taking as many immigrants this year as opposed to decades of significant immigration, FAUlty, Jamesvanderputz, etc. want us to think they have a problem with immigrants. I guess it triggers them that they’re a successful and liberal, racially heterogeneous country.
