Our audibles do not work. Whatever play that was called has to be better than what we audible into.

Our audible philosophy seems to be get us out of a terrible play and into one that is merely bad. To opt for the three yard loss instead of the interception. That's the only thing that make sense at this point.
1 out of 100 is NOT a good audible success ratio, regardless of how good the 1 was.
That's more on Penn State for not recognizing. There are only two options for an Iowa audible. Dive left or dive right.
I'd like to see it with a fake hand off then hit the tight end down the seam or receiver on a slant in 15 yards down the field but apparently Brian lost the play action pass page from his three page book. Maybe he will find it sometime soon.
In fairness to these audible plays, they are working just as well as the actually called dive plays.
There was a play where we audabled on our own 8ish yard line on third down and their whole team knew what was coming. One guy pointed at Wadley with a run to the short side.
That was a rare run put of a shotgun spread formation. Wish we would see more of it.
