Spoke with 2016 wing K.J. Santos today. He's on the road back from another injury, this time to his foot. He's basically all the way back from the injury now, where he broke a bone in his foot. It was in one of his first AAU games with the Mac Irvin Fire at Boo Williams event in April.

After the wrist injury cost him a good portion of his high school season at South Kent and now this injury, he said it's been frustrating because he wants to play, but he's trying to stay positive. He's very excited about playing in July with the Fire at Peach Jam.

He said Iowa continues to recruit him very hard and he will remember that when it comes down to making a decision regarding schools that stuck with him when he was injured. Plans to visit Iowa soon (no date set) and will also make an official to Iowa in the fall. VCU also offered and he said he wants to make an unofficial there this month if he can. He said the other schools heavily involved right now are DePaul, Xavier, Wichita State, and Oklahoma also strong in the mix. He plans to cut his list at the end of July after he sees if anyone else offers. Then take officials this fall and sign in November.
