I’m starting to see articles about whether she should run for CA governor, which is fine. However, they’re also saying it’s a big decision because that would effectively close the door on a 2028 presidential run.

Ummm, huh? I view that door as shut, sealed, nailed, and plastered over. Is this just face-saving political gossip or are serious people really entertaining this possibility?

Please trot that dumb bitch out there again in '28 vs. Vance! Pretty please!! She doesn't even have to team up with the fat, little, liar of a valor thief from minisoda again!!!

lol, just gossip imo. She lost to the worst republican candidate we’ve ever seen by a mile. She’s a terrible candidate and will never have a legitimate chance at the presidency ever. Let’s be honest, the only reason she’s VP is her race and gender.
Yes, but the talk is “Biden screwed her” “she only had 100 days to run” etc.

If she lost to the worst candidate ever, what does that tell you about 49.9 percent of the voting public? Thats more of a them problem, and a problem for the people who post bullshit on the internet about how bad the system is, but don’t vote

Look man, we can point fingers all day long. Bottom line, she fvcking lost. Nobody to blame but the democrats for completely fvcking up the whole process.

Remember after Clinton lost in 2016, there were people pushing the narrative that she would run again in '20?

I seriously doubt Democrats have any appetite for Harris running again. Frankly, they shouldn't want her to run for CA governor either.
I think her place is somewhere in congress.

There's still a sizeable chunk of Dems that don't want to accept that they need to moderate the party

Regardless, Kamala pissed away too many donor $$$$ to think they'll ever back her again
I don't know that Dems "need" to moderate their message so much as they need to better articulate their message in the first place. Trump won because he won the messaging battle, which allowed him to swing voters. He convinced them ours is a failing economy - it's not; that our cities are overrun by illegal immigrants - they're not; and that in general things are pretty shitty. Harris by far had better policy proposals - not hard when her opponent only had "concepts of a plan", but failed to sell that to enough Americans.

The Biden/harris economy has been shit. No amount of gas lighting will change that. This administration has overseen the worst border crisis in world history and allowed over 10 million illegals into our country. No amount of gas lighting will change this. Violent crime is UP. No amount of gas lighting or statistical manipulation will change this.

Anyone paying attention knows the democrat party is a giant L atm. Running a guy who put tampons in boys bathrooms didn't help.

To be fair to Harris, I think she ran about the best campaign she could have run under the circumstances. She was never my preferred candidate but I'm simply not sure there was enough time at that point to have any sort of mini-primary battle, and I think a brokered convention would have been disastrous.

In hindsight, I think the Dems lost this election when Biden chose to run for a 2nd term, or at least not allow for an open primary season where other legit Democratic candidates felt capable of running.

Agree here as well. Biden turned out to be quite a selfish turd. Good riddance.

It wouldn't suprise me to see her out of politics.

If you are honest you will admit she is incredibly unlikable. She would get drag raced in a primary.

I'm guessing she goes into consulting or back into law.

Lies beat truth. Again.

I agree.
I’m not worried, though. I don’t think other candidates will defer to her at this point.
Part of this is that I live in the dumbest possible timeline.

The only thing propping up and talking about Kamala Harris as a potential candidate in 2028 is the rightwing info/media complex. And they dominate the conversation. There are literally no Democrats in any position anywhere talking her up. She deserves absolutely no deference in 2028. What losing Democrat has ever received any deference per the next election cycle? This is so stupid. It's more about MAGA jerk-offs masturbating than anything else.

Al Gore is probably the only Democratic candidate in my lifetime who had earned any kind of deference per 2004 due to the circumstances of his "loss", and he got no deference at all. I can't remember if he even ever formally said he wasn't going to run?

If Harris runs for Governor of California in 2 years and has a great record and turns into a Barack Obama or Bill Clinton in the next 8-12 years sure maybe she's got a chance in 2036, although I highly highly highly doubt it. She would be too old hopefully by that point. I'm assuming the Dems are going to win in 2028 so 2032 is shut off for her.

Republicans are the only party where losers get 2nd chances (see Nixon, sort of Reagan, and then the cult leader Trump). I guess Adlai Stevenson getting the Dem nomination twice in a row was seen as kind of a weird coincidence, he wasn't really the top candidate pre-convention in either 52 or 56.

You need to look in the mirror lmfao

Oh hey, Pepe the Nazi Frog here thinks he's owning some libs with this post.

Dumb ass. Glad I've got you on ignore.
How did that Iowa poll work out for you lol you were so excited!

Imagine calling a meme a nazi btw 😂😂 and you wonder why the majority of Americans don't take the democrats seriously.

Well, to be fair…the articles are all over CNN and the LA Times. It sounds like this is more her inner circle not wanting to close the door on a future presidential run, but they’d probably quietly acknowledge that she has no shot.

That is true about the general public, but it does not change the fact that she will never again be nominated to run for the presidency.

Oh you seriously owned me dude! I'm so embarrassed and flustered or whatever by your wit and intelligence in remembering that I made a post about that Selzer poll 40 plus days ago and you apparently care so much that you've been waiting for the opportunity to spring it on me! Way to go psycho!

I only see your posts these days if you reply to one of mine because I had you accurately pegged as a loser troll long ago. And post-Trump win it looks like you've come out as an open Nazi. Bet your family (if you have any left that talk to you) are so proud.

Keep calling people nazis. You'll definitely win the next election if you keep up that high IQ rhetoric 😂😂

Good job posting that poll btw. Only off by 16 points 🤣

Oh wow, I just found and read this article at CNN. How effing embarrassing is it, CNN just looking to fill space on-air and on their web page?

Harris is almost certainly going to have a very difficult time getting the Dem nomination for Governor in California, let alone becoming the Dem Presidential nominee in 2028. That piece smells more like beat sweetener for consultants who are soon going to have other more relevant clients than anything based in reality. Hopefully Harris herself isn't behind that piece and she isn't so deluded as to think she's got a real chance in 28.

I can see Harris being a John Kerry and becoming an Attorney General in a future Dem cabinet (see Kerry as Sec of State) but she's done as far as being a serious candidate for President.
