Was I seeing things that Keegan re-turned the ankle last night? It was at around the 5 or 6 minute mark left and he made an awkward stop to reverse course on a badly thrown pass behind him to where he was on the wing. He immediately went to the bench to get out of the game, but Fran couldn't get the timeout...so he went to the defensive end. It was a strange sequence...but I don't believe I saw him on the bench after that.

Yeah Keegan said he’s fine just tweaked it. Clearly, he destroyed them in the second half right out the gate.

Why the need for this comment? Everyone should thank Goodson and his family for what they’ve done for Iowa.
Really? How about they should thank the University of Iowa for what they did? Like give him a free education, room and board, free nutrition and health care? Not to mention a platform for him to perform on so that he could have this shot to TRY OUT for an NFL team. All so that he can bail on "his " team mates and the school before the conclusion of a year for which he received all these benefits for FREE? But you think they should thank him, correct? Like there wouldn't have been Iowa football without young Tyler? Pfffff.......Sorry but I'm tired of these kids walking out before the season is done. Take your shot for the league next year, great. BUT finish what you started this year. Just another systematic problem in todays society. Loyalty, just another catch phrase long gone....

Thoughts on Brian Kelly?

This times a million!

Pretty sure Kelly had to buy out his contract with Notre Dame. While there are some comparisons, I don't see any place requiring a "buyout" for a player to leave. And I for one don't have any real issue with a player leaving early. Especially a running back. But please don't ever try to say that players get nothing in return.

He's an ASS and not just this year. BUT, he has a contract that both HE and the school signed. If they let him leave, or he has to pay to leave thats on them, or they sue him for breatch, whatever. Hopefully he has to pay them a bunch of money back for walking. Apples to oranges though.

Do you have any idea how much the University makes on the football program? 100 Million or more plus the stuff that is indirect or not counted in that number...like what it does for the community during football weekends in restaurants, hotel, merchandise, etc, etc, etc.

Goodson's family has been probably one of the most vocal families promoting Iowa Football...and they did so when the program could have been decimated with the racial issues that came up two years ago. They stood up when many wouldn't, and supported and publicly communicated that support, and the program was doing everything they could to create a great culture for all athletes.

Tyler's doing what he feels is right for him and his family. As far as I'm concerned, he can do that any ****ing time he wants and he doesn't have to answer to some asshole like you. He's got a chance to live out his dream and hopefully support his family for life. Good for him and I hope he's successful

Maybe you should follow what the coaches and his teammates are doing...which is supporting his decision and thanking him for his contributions the past three years.

Right. I'm an asshole because I think loyalty SHOULD mean something? And how much $$ the program makes which benefits many, has little to do with Tyler. Like that doesn't happen if he wasn't here? So who benefits more from his time at Iowa, him, or the school? You know what F---stick. You've got your opinion and I have mine, and you know what opinions are worth, AND what you can do with your thoughts on mine. Fair enough?

Loyalty...what the hell are you talking about. He helped them win the B10 West and get to the B10 Championship...the bowl game is virtually meaningless unless you are playing in the playoff. I completely understand why some players don't want to risk injury playing the BumF#CK Blue Bonnet Bowl or whatever bowl it is. He's not being disloyal to his teammates...there's nothing on the line here. If he bailed on the B10 Championship Game...sure...that would be an issue.

With all due respect to our offensive line...I can hardly blame the guy for trying to stay healthy so he can train for the NFL draft. He's clearly not coming back next year...so this is a chance to give the younger guys a shot...and playing time. It will help us next year...and I can assure you...they are going to like playing and getting more carries.

Exactly right. He helped. Just like the other 110 or so players on the TEAM! As bad as the OL was, does he get 1100 yards this year without them? Most of his yards were on plays where they sprung him through a big hole into the open for big gains because his yards after contact this year was abhorant, probably the worst in the BIG, which showed what he could do when he DIDNT have any help. Basically your okay with any upperclassman bailing on the team. Thats fair right, because almost EVERY Iowa player gets at least a look by the league, and thats all that Tyler's going to get. Do you see guys like Linderbaum, Campbell, Moss, or Belton taking the game off, because all of those guys have a much better chance of actually playing in the NFL, but their not leaving. They should right, because this game is so meaningless to the team and the players right?

Football program did not net 100 million after expenses.
Total revenues for all sports probably exceeded 100 million but not net income.

The point is, it's his choice to decide his future...and fans shouldn't be butthurt because he decides to do what he thinks is best for him. You also don't know if he was already banged up from the season...none of us know. He made his own decision on what is best for him. He played in every game, didn't miss one in his career, I don't believe he ever missed a game. The dude had 1100 yards behind a subpar (for Iowa) offensive line. I don't have to defend the guy.

The other guys are making their choice...which is great because I like watching them. What's funny is that his teammates and coaches don't have any problem with it, but couch potato Iowa fan does. Then couch potato proceeds to say he's not any good...so why the hell do you care if he plays? LOL. Oh, loyalty...right.

I would not blame any of these guys if they left early. And I would not harbor any ill will toward them. If it was a NY6 game, I might feel a little differently, though I suspect Goodson would have stuck around if it was a NY6 game.

I was talking revenues...not income. Iowa generates $100 million and is the 18th most valuable program in the country. Now add in what it means to the community and the businesses in the community. It's a huge number.

On a related note, if you are in the camp wanting to expand the playoffs to 8 or 16 teams, you should be hoping that more of these players decide to sit out. Watered down bowl games will accelerate the move.

And your missing my point entirely as well, ("why the hell do you care"). I don't give a flying f--- if Tyler plays or not/per say. It is about loyalty, "to the team", not me. As i pointed out, (and you didn't address), by glossing over with his 1100yards. 90% of that was because he had help, because he did Bubkas after contact this year, and has to be the worst RB ever at Iowa in pass pro, even behind Wadley, and thats saying something. Frankly I'd expect an upgrade in the bowl game anyway so......

Can't tell if child or grumpy old man. What's with these anonymous message boards turning everyone into tough guys? Do you get something out of being a huge douche?
