Keegan - Re-sprain of the Ankle Last Night?

And your missing my point entirely as well, ("why the hell do you care"). I don't give a flying f--- if Tyler plays or not/per say. It is about loyalty, "to the team", not me. As i pointed out, (and you didn't address), by glossing over with his 1100yards. 90% of that was because he had help, because he did Bubkas after contact this year, and has to be the worst RB ever at Iowa in pass pro, even behind Wadley, and thats saying something. Frankly I'd expect an upgrade in the bowl game anyway so......
I feel like I'm arguing with Peter Griffin. Loyalty to the team?...his team supports him...they don't feel he's being disloyal. He's well respected on the team...no one is calling him out for opting out of the bowl game. The coaching staff has publicly thanked him and his family for their contributions. They don't feel he's being disloyal, So the disloyal part just boils down to butthurt fans who don't like him, of which you are one.

Wait, do you have a crush on Tyler and you feel betrayed because he's leaving you? You demand loyalty, and this must a huge breach of trust.

Yes...football is a team game...Tyler had the help of his offensive teammates...so did every other player on the offense.

What's funny is you thinking you actually know the coaches and players true thoughts and feelings!!!

Lmao, too funny
I've seen several statements throughout the years, from coaches to players talking about what a great teammate he is. Ferentz said so publicly recently and a few players also said things.

Now, if you are saying that's all bullshit and they are just spewing falsehoods, I'd have to say you are a bit cynical. You can tell when players like playing for eachother...and Tyler has a monster work ethic. He's respected.

Something said years ago tells you how the players feel about him abandoning the team now? Interesting....

"Tyler has been a valuable member of our program throughout his career, and we wish him nothing but success as he pursues his next phase in life and football,” Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said in a press release. “Tyler enjoys the game of football. His passion and energy are evident on a daily basis, and we are appreciative of his many contributions to our program. It has been a pleasure having Tyler and his family as part of our program.”

Talks about how hard he works and valuable he is...other players can follow his lead.

There are several post game interviews about Tyler you can view too. You guys act like this is the first guy to opt out of a bowl game to train and stay healthy.

You have zero clue what they think about him quitting...
Your random ass media quotes mean nothing

The point is, it's his choice to decide his future...and fans shouldn't be butthurt because he decides to do what he thinks is best for him. You also don't know if he was already banged up from the season...none of us know. He made his own decision on what is best for him. He played in every game, didn't miss one in his career, I don't believe he ever missed a game. The dude had 1100 yards behind a subpar (for Iowa) offensive line. I don't have to defend the guy.

The other guys are making their choice...which is great because I like watching them. What's funny is that his teammates and coaches don't have any problem with it, but couch potato Iowa fan does. Then couch potato proceeds to say he's not any good...so why the hell do you care if he plays? LOL. Oh, loyalty...right.
Just STFU.

What the **** do you think he's going to say? Oh Tyler is an asshole for leaving us before our bowl game.

Again what do you think people inside the program are going to say ? You have no idea, maybe there's a lot of team members or coaches pissed off but they are not going to say anything to the public about.

Great response. Go F#ck yourself...or contribute something to the discussion...or are you butthurt because a player decided to do what's right for himself and his family...and didn't think about couch potato Iowa fan first who may be upset because it hurts the team's chances of winning.

The one idiot is criticizing Tyler for not playing, then saying he doesn't add anything to the team anyway and 90% is because everyone blocked for him...LOL. This is some funny stuff.

I'd like to think we do know though...do I know what everyone is thinking in the building...no, but these guys have been together for 3 years...summer, fall, winter, spring...Goodson has an incredible work ethic...and leads by example. I got to think he has the respect of his teammates. I don't know for absolute sure...but just a feeling based on the way players react to him on the field.

You haven't seen them on a field since he quit on them lmfao

I could have sworn we had two boards all or partially devoted to Iowa Football!

I thought it was Wagner that wanted to try football.....now Keegan? 😊

I posted a message to Blair on if he has a take on Tyler Goodson and the mood in the building around his decision to forgo the bowl game. I know you douchebags won't agree with anything he says...but I'll eat crow if I'm wrong about this.

Also, why don't you guys go over to the Cyclone board and blast the crap out of Breese Hall for opting out of the Cyclone game with Clemson to train for the draft and stay healthy.

For one I'm a Hawkeye and for two I never go over to their board for anything and I don't really give a shit what Breece Hall does.

Exactly. Like the stuff we read is the straight skinny. Like there's nobody on the team that would be pissed about a kid bailing, Please.....
I never said every guy on the team was supportive...never. I said he's respected and based on what I had read about him, what KF said about him...and the way he worked...that the team would be supportive.

You are a freaking idiot. You arguments are like a two year old...and that's an insult to two year olds.

Ouch, boy you got me there big time. I see you got the totally generic answer from Blair you were hoping for that says they appear "outwardly" supportive, which of course means absolutely nothing. Whats funny is your naive enough to think KF, the coaches, and the players are somehow forthcoming to Blair or anyone else in the media, about their inner feelings.....Like KF would EVER come out and publicly trash the kid.

All I want for Christmas is the return to some semblance of civility to these sports boards. After all, most of us here are Hawkeye fans! I'll even put out a special cookie🤩for Santa!

You said exactly that..lmfao!!!!

The funny thing is Blair pretty much told him he's wrong and he thanks Blair for proving him right. Seriously entertaining lol

Really? How about they should thank the University of Iowa for what they did? Like give him a free education, room and board, free nutrition and health care? Not to mention a platform for him to perform on so that he could have this shot to TRY OUT for an NFL team. All so that he can bail on "his " team mates and the school before the conclusion of a year for which he received all these benefits for FREE? But you think they should thank him, correct? Like there wouldn't have been Iowa football without young Tyler? Pfffff.......Sorry but I'm tired of these kids walking out before the season is done. Take your shot for the league next year, great. BUT finish what you started this year. Just another systematic problem in todays society. Loyalty, just another catch phrase long gone....

How long before they forgo the last regular season game or two or the conference championship game?
