Personally, I highly doubt JBo will grad transfer. I just don’t think he would do that considering how much he loves Iowa (or so it appears). Then again, nobody should be saying there is zero chance he would grad transfer because you just never know.
Reasons why he could grad transfer:
- Change of scenery for final year
- Be a specialist for a team that may have a better chance making a run
- Maybe he is nudged that grad transferring is in everyone’s best interest due to 5 incoming scholarships and Fran wanting to start developing the team post JBo era. **This option is highly highly unlikely but like I said who knows?
Reasons he won’t grad transfer:
- His love for the Hawkeyes
- Doesn’t seem to be a guy who sells himself short where he’d have to play a small reserved role off the bench when he knows he could do more.
- Going with bullet two, I don’t think it makes much sense to play his final year somewhere as a specialist because it’s already an adjustment changing colleges or getting a rhythm going in game.
Honestly, anyone can throw out valid arguments for him to grad transfer or not. I would rather have him as a Hawkeye for one more year but I won’t get upset if he goes somewhere else. He’s earned it and has given us Hawkeyes fans many reasons to appreciate him. I still think he stays though. I just play Devils Advocate with all scenarios in life.
