Situation sounds like something we usually avoid. As Hoops said his game doesn’t fit what GMs are looking for so highly doubt he’s on an NBA roster or even 2 way contract next year. G League or college probably, and if college his family looking to cash in.
Fans expected Iowa to get a player from the portal so they'll believe anything even though Iowa has moved on to 2023.
Brooks’ dad is a highly involved “Little League parent”, who never expected his son to still be in college at this point. Coach Cal/UK was going to be his ticket to the NBA after 1 or 2 years. Has been a role player for the most part there. To the kid’s credit, it seems he accepted that role well. Kris Murray’s upside is infinitely higher than Brooks.
Probably not the way to go in this woke/BLM era we’re currently living in.

On another site (free content) Brooks was quoted as being "all in" for the NBA first, and does not mention Iowa among colleges he might consider if the NBA doesn't work out.
