I hear ya el dub. My vote and response were made in jest due to responses we got from PSU bubbas on the other poll. I was just having fun, but apparently PSU fans don't know how to have fun. Ironic isn't it?
LOL I guess you suckered me as well.

Nothing wrong with supporters supporting...
I am almost certain they never faced each other in an official match. Nolf was always at least 1 weight class above Kemerer in high school. As mentioned earlier, they have trained together (Young Guns) since elementary school and know each other very well. Two very different styles. They are both great kids and represent their programs well. I have watched both closely for a dozen years or so and have had this debate with my son and several of their fellow HS contemporaries.
Regardless of the outcome, I will be happy for the winner and wish the other the best of luck for the next time.
Wow, ReallyThis is an easy one...Kemerer all the way, not even close!
That's not entirely true. Nolf was with Rob Waller's All American Wrestling Club until maybe his Sophomore year of high school. This is where everyone in the Pittsburgh area went before Young Guns was born. (Jimmy Gulibon, Solomon Chishko, Jason Nolf, Michael Kemerer, and Sammy Krivus) just to name a few. http://triblive.com/x/leadertimes/sports/s_620407.html
I just looked at the PAJW brackets from 2009. http://escapesports.com/2009-PJW/ WOW!!!! So Kemerer was at 11-12 85lbs and Nolf was at 11-12 80lbs. Both won their respective state championship brackets. Nolf beat Sam Krivus (Virginia) in the finals 5-1, but I couldnt stop laughing as I scrolled through the bracket and recognized a ton of names that are currently wrestling at the D-1 level.
Nolf-PSU
Krivus-Virginia
Walter-Lehigh
Gromacki-Clarion
Vath-Edinboro
Stewart-West Point
Young-Iowa
That doesn't include the guys currently wrestling at the D-II or D-III level either from that bracket.
Kemerer beat fellow Franklin Regional star Josh Maruca (Arizona State) 1-0 in the finals. I don't think this this bracket was as loaded as the 80lb one, but it still contained:
Kemerer-Iowa
Maruca-AZ St
Duggan-West Virginia
Lukowich-Kent St.
That doesn't include the guys currently wrestling at the D-II or D-III level either from either bracket. I couldnt find anywhere from 2007-2011 in the state brackets that they wrestled. I'm sure they wrestled at some camps or some open tournaments beings they where usually only a bracket apart from each other.
Also Vincenzo Joseph was with Sunny Abe @ Pittbull wrestling club his whole time as a youth. Almost none of the guys Needanap mentioned wrestled for Young Guns until their High School careers.
Jab, it was a knock out punch, followed by stomp to the face (AKA Johny Hendricks).Just so everyone knows what will happen in the next poll.
1: Some Iowa posters pick the Iowa guy no matter what (Complete Homer pick) and some actually give their honest opinion
2: PSU posters come over and some offer their honest opinion and others troll to get responses because they are the douchebags of that fanbase
3: Tognetti comes in late to throw one Cowpoke jab into the mix
In the end nobody knows who will win but I would have to go with Nolf based off last years resume but things do happen unexpectedly
P.S. Who on these boards regardless of allegiance would have picked IMAR as NCAA champ two years ago. Ness, Green, Miller, Jordan and even Alton ahead of him at the beginning of the year. My guess nobody!

Interesting pic choice considering Johnny lost that fight. Don't let me spoil your fun though, carry onJab, it was a knock out punch, followed by stomp to the face (AKA Johny Hendricks).![]()
Pinters. Nolf is the meanest wrestler in the country. He doesn't wrestle to win, he wrestles to dominate and if you get a takedown on him he coming to physically break you
These kids read these boards and Nolf is going to give extra special dominance when he wrestles Kem.
Thanks to Pinters and all those here that voted for Kem, I hope you're happy when you get your boy pummeled for poking the bear.
Kem is probably reading this poll and cringing. Thinking to himself "who are these message board dopes putting me in same sentence as Nolf?" "They not gonna pay for it, I am!"
That's what I'm thinking. Kemdawg is a honey badger that doesn't care about anything. He will put on a TD clinic on Nolf.I think Nolf is good enough to hold Kemerer to a regular decision![]()

Kem is a serious stud and if he were our 49'er I'd say he has a shot at 2nd place, as a 57, he also has a shot at 2nd place. Both big asks, but he has huge potential. At either weight, I don't think he will be ready to take the top spot.
I think he will get much better throughout the year, but, imo, he won't be able to beat Nolf this year. Nolf +9.
On another note, Kem has more wrestling potential then I have potential in anything, so what the hell do I know. Go beat his ass Kemdawg!
I love Kemdowg..I am so rooting for him and I voted he will close the gap as the season goes on. I do not believe he can close the gap on Nolf this season, but will go out on a limb and say I believe he will beat Jo Jo at Nationals if they meet!!!What a bunch of Homers over here. The only one taking it to Nolf this season is Joe Smith OSU.![]()
Would love another poster too do it.Theses polls are fun, pinters, but the first two were no-brainers. Gilman and Nolf without a doubt. How about a closer one? Maybe Joseph-Marinelli or Stoll-Nevills?
