I was just thinking this. At this point it's clear the room needs to be upgraded. I'm guessing they won't send Tom down the road so fine he has 4 years left on the contract. Morningstar supposedly such a valuable recruiting resource then make him recruiting coordinator. Send Terry to the club and Bobby moves on. You have room for 3 new guys. We have a little uptick with recruiting already, get a better staff and Tom looks in the mirror and makes an honest assessment that there are a number of areas his teams have consistently struggled in and that some new input would help. I think Bo has the mindset and determination to infectiously spread his wrestling to his teammates.

Kem brings so much to the room, not too many guys could continue to bump weights and still have his speed, and oh ya he could scramble, oh and he’s from PA so I see no downside

Kemerer’s biggest positive as a coach has nothing to do with wrestling. He is an awesome human being, kids want to emulate him, and parents want their kids around him.

Change is inevitable…growth is optional.
Wrestling is not just wrestling anymore.
In listening to the Gross interview after wrestling DeSanto, he said “He didn’t change, so I knew my game plan was going to work.”
Kem definitely had McEnelly ready to compete.

They don't have to. We are Iowa... where you can coach, underachieve year after year after year after year, and still have a nice cozy job.

You guys are way too hard on the coaches for their coaches. The Brands are amazing coaches — anyone who knows anything about wrestling will tell you the same. What you are seeing is the result of bad recruiting — and, they are making changes.

Look at Oklahoma State — having an awful day in the Big 12.

You get the right kids in the room and they learn and coach each other just by wrestling.

I could win with the Penn State team and I can’t coach anything. Once we start getting the right kids in the room then we will start dominating. It’s going to take a little time. In the meantime, we need to hold our own with the portal.

DeLuca, Bassett, Melvin Miller, Raney, Raney, Arnold, Ferrari, Ludington, Kueter, Mocco is the path forward — we are coming !!!!!
