Kenny Arnold Fundraiser in Mason City on May 4th

Those who would like to donate may also go to the KennyArnoldFoundation.org website to make a one-time or annual donation.

Isn't that article an old one? Speaks of him still being around unless I misread.
Can anyone confirm that this event in Mason City is still on for this Sat night, even after Mr. Arnold's recent passing?

Copyright 2016 on the article, come on guys

The article was published shortly after the event was announced and Kenny was still alive at that time.

Based on the below tweet from Horner which is already posted in this thread, the event is still on.

Thanks, apparently I didn't read this thread close enough.

anybody go?
Yes, my wife and I stopped by; it was a fun event. Former Hawkeye players (Jeff Horner, Greg Brunner, Adam Haluska, Matt Gatens, Josh Oglesby, and Todd Berkenpas) took on some Mason City alumni. Horner's father was their to run the clock. Haluska led the former Hawks in scoring with numerous 3's and drives to hoop. The Hawk players could have named the score (they 'won' something like 67 to 61). However, the Mason City alums were a scrappy bunch with a guy named Marcus Allen (no, not the former NFL running back:) hitting about 5 three pointers. Other Hawkeye "older times" at the event included Vince Brookins, Michael Payne, and Mike "Tree" Henry. Chuck Long was also in attendance, as was former Iowa Athletic Trainer John Streif. There was a silent auction, raffle ticket prices, and some Hawkeye trivia games. A comical moment was when Chuck L. was the only former Hawk that answered following question incorrectly ...who was Iowa's opponent they beat to get to 1980 Final 4? Answer = Georgetown, Chuck said Stanford, so he took some ribbing for that. After the hoops game all players and participants were readily available to visit with, take pictures, and provide autographs. I chatted briefly with Vince Brookins who was quite engaging and still looks like he could play some hoops. Also, said hello to Mr. Long.
