He has done a spectacular job and is an incumbent. He's the strongest candidate possible in 2024 for the Democrats with those characteristics mentioned. He's old but he's effective and wise.

Idk about our country. DeSantis is hard to beat nationally. But for Iowa you would have to go back to the times of horse buggies to find a worse Governor. She is way in over her head. The job is beyond her simply beyond her skillset. There is a reason why she so fiercely stands by Trump. He is her life life. He provides her with a map on what to do. Without him she would be direction less and would have no identity.

I am one of the rare freaks who has met Kimbo, her state trooper entourage, and the lieutenant governor, Adam Gregg. They had come to my company lab for some biotech thing which was happening in Coralville. We gave her the tour, she said so many excellent things were being done in Iowa, asked what we wanted (tax incentives), said she'd look into it and like that she and the entourage were gone.

She is by far the worst Iowa Govenor of my lifetime. When I think back to what we once had with the likes of Harold Hughes and Robert Ray I could almost cry.
Abortion isn't an issue that can be compromised with. You either believe people have the right to make medical decisions over their own body or you don't.
