Kinnick Renovation?

I lived in Quad, and my plan was to go pull a brick out of the rubble when it comes down to go with the one I grabbed during the Kinnick renovation while I was a student, so I've been keeping tabs on the situation.

Improvements to the north stands currently under consideration include:

 Fixing all seating issues;

 Creating suites and other premium seating options;

 Improving concourse amenities;

 Increasing audio/visual technology and “branding” throughout;

 Creating spaces with modern amenities such as plazas and patios;

 Modernizing restroom facilities;

 Updating food-service/vending options;

 Developing additional resource opportunities for non-game day events/programs;

 Improving accessibility for fans; and

 Improving the flow of spectators within and around the north side of the stadium.

How much of this do you think has to do with the ISU stadium remodel? I'd have to say quite a bit in my opinion. One step ahead of little brother?

This has to do with keeping up with the B1G. ISU adding a couple thousand seats that will be empty for entire swaths of their season was not the catalyst for this.

OFF topic: I'm not a current season ticket holder. Does anybody have a copy of the Poll the Athletic Dept sent out this year - for suggestions on what ticket holders prefer? could you post it here? Have the poll results been released, or will they even be released?

My son got me a brick from Kinnick for Christmas during the last renovation. I said (stupidly) that I didn't know they were selling them. He said he climbed over the fence and got one.

So proud ......:)

Late one night in the early 70's after way way too much time in the bars, I got inside Kinnick (then Iowa Stadium I believe) and pulled out a goal post upright laying disassembled on the field. Drug the damn thing over to the east side of the river where I lived off N Dubuque Str and laid it in the living room. Well actually it was about 18-20 feet long so one end was in the kitchen. Sh*t, it was heavy too! When I got up the next day my roommates wondered what the hell it was. After telling them, they for some odd reason thought it was an extremely stupid and unbelievable thing to do. I went back to bed and never saw it again. Hey, a Hawkeye fan had to have something fun to do in the Lauterbur and Cummings era.
