Knee Braces...

After watching both Marinelli and Lee last weekend two thoughts came to mind that I was hoping someone could try to clarify.

1. Are those bulky braces that Marinelli and Lee are wearing just precautionary? I ask b/c they both seemed to be pretty limited in their motion and I really think it could hinder their abilities against some higher level competition.
2. Do they wear them in practice? What are the odds they both wear them for the regular season then come postseason (if Lee is freed) they ditch them?

Based on what Lee has said in interviews, he is wearing the brace to help keep him from putting the knee in bad positions. I assume it’s the same for Stoll and Marinelli.

I’m not sure on how long they will wear them.

From what I've seen they do wear them in practice. It wouldn't make any sense to wear them in a match and not in practice where they do most of their wrestling. In Stoll and Lee's case I think they're precautionary as they're healing up from surgeries. In Marinelli's case I think it's to stabilize a currently damaged knee.

Spencer, Alex, and Sam all wear them in practice and most likely will be wearing them all year. Alex and Spencer have confimed that they will.

I thought even with it Marinelli moved great in his match against Lewis. Lee said TnT tell him to wear it so he does.

Man that was a great match. Marinelli took 16 shots!!!!!

Yea...if those knee braces limit them, the competition is truly ****ed once they can take them off.

Agreed. The braces do stabilize the knee but they do limit motion and they do served as a disadvantage when you try to get out of legs. Also, they don't allow slip, like sweat on skin...but wrestlers do get used to them with time (i.e. Ben Shirk)....
