Kwik Star

People are passionate about gas stations.

Buc-ee's is a cult. Big as a Walmart, no thanks.

KwikStar is meh. Casey's better pizza and rewards. However, the new Casey's model/floorplan is a downgrade in my book. They've changed their coffee and doughnuts and are inferior now. Removing ice cream machines, too. They only win on pizza and gas rewards. I hope they turn it around because IA > WI.

QT has also gone downhill. They also sold all their locations that were convenient to me and they're now HyVee gas stations so forget them.

K&G is overpriced and awful.

Someone mentioned KwikStar is called KwikTrip elsewhere. I believe that's because there's a really trashy chain called KwikTrip that's already here. There was a nasty place near my old house. The kind of place you only go as a last resort.

My BIL in FL swears by Wawa. Anyone with experience here?
Kwik Trip is based in Lacross Wi, Their stores in Iowa are called Kwik Star.
Don't know what the nasty place is near you unless it's an older store.
All the stores in Wi and Iowa that I've been in are clean.

Not sure if it is true, but I heard Bill Krause (Kum & Go) bought all of the existing Quick Trips in the Iowa City area, with the understanding that Quick Trip would no longer operate in the area.

Okay. No state or government is talking about that.
my google search that says cali has mandated all new vehicles sold by 2035 are mandated to be zero emissions, is not correct? now, I realize you could still keep your old vehicle, but this sort of sounds like they want your old one to die off and become extinct. meanwhile they are building gasoline stations like crazy here in texas with no charging stations.

Wasn’t Kwik Star/Kwik Trip just bought out by Maverick? Maverick’s are good, but their convenient store is expensive. A slice of pizza, which is more Detroit style and not as good as Casey’s obviously, range from $3 for a pepperoni up to $6 for a Detroit slice. $6 for a breakfast burrito about 1/3 the size of Chipotle) in a warmer. It makes no sense.

Correct, I’m wrong, one state you don’t live in, maybe 11 years from now, will mandate all new car sales will be EV’s.

Maverick bought Kum and Go from the Krause family.

The changeover as far as changing signage and stuff hasn't begun yet.

We always stop st kwik star/trip on road trips to feed the family. They have alot of variety and healthier options for what you'd pay to clog your arteries at McDonald's or culvers
