Perhaps you're the type of person who pisses and moans about the smell of hog shit, while you're mowing down a center cut pork chop. I certainly wouldn't want to judge on such a small sample size however.

Wtf is your problem man? I said it's my opinion that smoking should not be legal in public. This is based on the fact that it causes harmful and unwanted affects on the non smokers in the vicinity and they have to breathe in the smoke against their will. That's my opinion which was directly related to the topic mentioned in this thread about smoke in a casino. If it were up for a referdum, or a politician was campaigning to make smoking illegal in public, I would vote for that. Ofc, under current laws, smoking in casinos is legal, and it's the smokers right to do so. Doesn't mean I can't criticize that current law.

I don't see why you're so offended, defensive, and hostile over this.

^ Not sure what you mean or are implying by this. I served in the military. The purpose of our democracy is to be able to voice our opinions (all of us citizens, not just military members/veterans) and to support politicians/legislation that we each think is best for society. I think public smoking is a detriment to society at large and therefore should be illegal. You should be able to smoke in your house/car all you want as that doesn't affect others.

The right to smoke cigarettes on a crowded sidewalk is not in the Constitution. It's not an innate human right.

If you're going to start talking about the philosophical meaning of freedom, then you should recognize that if one of your "rights" infringes upon the life, health, or rights of other people, then it's inhibiting freedom. Do you have the right or freedom to punch someone on the street in the face?

By all means, feel free to defend the legality of public smoking. However, no need to get butthurt, hyper defensive, and throw insults at me.

I'm as pro liberty as they get as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others or negativity affect others health.

I suspect you and 23 agree much more than you disagree where individual liberty is concerned. Just a misunderstanding on the public smoking thing, I think.

Back to the secondary topic (first was Dake's twitter...). I tried to avoid labeling/judging Dake after I saw the video of him being instructed on where to go for his drug screen after winning his first NCAA Title (you know, the one where Montel marion hit an inside trip to put him on his back, but... duh... Marion stays squarely on top of Dake's hips and gets reversed to his back). I felt then Dake was a bit cocky and arrogant... I tried to let it go... However, it could be I just can't shake that first impression, or he actually keeps reinforcing my original perception. No doubt he is a great wrestler, and I will concede my perceptions of him based on interviews and observation may be unfair. Sometimes, we want to be proven wrong. But, so far it hasn't happened.

Man, Dake is honestly the worst. Hr is so arrogant and I honestly cringe when he talks. Obviously I would want the best wrestler to represent us at Worlds/Olympics, but I am happy Burroughs won the trials because he is such a well-rounded individual and an awesome person. Dake is an incredible wrestler, but when it comes to his personality he is a straight dud.

A lot like common sense around here. Hilarious people on a Iowa board talk about Dake's dull personality. Metcalf, Ramos, Clark were as robotic as you could get in all of their responses.
 
Dake and Taylor should wrestle off to see who is the best Bridesmaid in the USA!...wait, they have. Of note, they both are good at weight changes, however bridesmaid dresses are expensive in larger sizes.

That said, going back to earlier in the discussion, the casino says smoking is OK so you have every right to smoke there and non smokers have to just deal with it.

WOW this thread is "smoking hot" and I feel a little bit dumber for reading it and worse yet posting in it! Any how I just got done eating my nice big juicy prime rib 1 of only 2 things I like pink btw. I followed it up by a triple shot of Jack and just couldn't choke it all down so I found 2 pep's sitting at the table next to me and spit the unswallowed whisky into there traps to finish it off. I could not believe it offended the non-drinkers?? who knew!!
