Meh, most Big Ten teams can laugh but that's only because they don't have to play NDSU.
They are smart enough not to schedule a lose lose game.

Great point. In retrospect, we'd have been better off had they converted. Never would I at the time thought Kirk would play not to lose when his defense had already proved they couldn't stop them.Iowa plays not to lose and sometimes that costs you. NDSU plays to win, how great/scary was their 2 pt attempt?! Two evenly matched teams. Those that like to refer to "directional schools" can stfu for awhile.
When Daniels basically fell down on the first play of that drive, you knew the nuts were shriveled.Great point. In retrospect, we'd have been better off had they converted. Never would I at the time thought Kirk would play not to lose when his defense had already proved they couldn't stop them.
Oh I knew that's exactly what we would try to do on the first couple of plays.....see if the run works, and then when it doesn't, hope our guys can execute in a long down and distance obvious passing situation.Great point. So glass house basically.............They are smart enough not to schedule a lose lose game.
Meh, most B1G teams fans are always complaining the media show's them " NO RESPECT " .Meh, most Big Ten teams can laugh but that's only because they don't have to play NDSU.
if it's any consolation to you guys, my team is the current laughing stock.Meh, most B1G teams fans are always complaining the media show's them " NO RESPECT " .
Do your fans complain about not getting " RESPECT " from the national media ? Well our fans do.if it's any consolation to you guys, my team is the current laughing stock.
Ask Barta, he did it as a favor to his alma materThere is absolutely NOTHING for Iowa to gain from this game. Why the hell was it even scheduled? NDSU kicked our asses today. Typical KF prepared teampoor game plan and even worse execution....
respect is earned, we have a coach who has 6 wins in 3 years prior to this year.Do your fans complain about not getting " RESPECT " from the national media ? Well our fans do.
Two evenly matched teams.
And this is why Iowa is irrelevant on the national scene. New contract back to KF 1.0, although I never really believed for a moment there was ever a 2.0.
Thanks for the contribution - douche. Gopher fan??? Misery LOVES company. You guys suck lol. Fcs loss. Bahahaha
This was simply a story of half time adjustments and overall motivation.
Motivation - as I said. (And you quoted)That 62 yard run to start the second half was a thing of beauty. But when the holding penalty negated it, it looked like the whole team was completely deflated. They never looked confident the rest of the game (except those snaps when Stanley was in there).

We schedule two "lose lose" games. They are smart enough not to schedule a lose lose game.
Went for it on 4th down, to set up the score early. NOT a Kirk 1.0 call. Easy to overlook this and just complain. This was simply a story of half time adjustments and overall motivation. I have no idea what goes on in the locker room at half time, but it clearly needs analysis by the staff.
For the record, I am STILL on the fence on Kirk after all these years. Just being objective about what I saw today. Kudos to NDSU. They know how to execute, motivate, and punch a team in the mouth when they show weakness.
I thought we were the team that looked intimidated the whole game. That 62 yard run to start the second half was a thing of beauty. Don't know. Wadley had 4 carries for 20 yards. He had one carry for 18 yards so his other 3 carries netted 2 yards. Not sure what went on there. No one has mentioned Wadley(sp?). I think I only saw him on 1 or 2 plays. I think that hurt - a lot. Also, unless you are Mich. or Ohio, losing your starting center and guard will hurt. Pretty sure Daniels and Welch(welsh?) are starters for a reason.
