Thank god we landed a high quality lightweight who hopefully can go 125 as freshman so Drake can bump to 133. I think Drake would be much better if he could add some muscle mass to his frame, but if he did it now, he probably wouldn’t make 125.
Article says Leo’s a junior so it’ll be 2-3 years before he’s in the lineup. Not sure this helps Ayala but good nonetheless.

I guess Drake will have to try to hold 125 next year also, unless we can get a 2 year quality transfer like Real, which would let Leo redshirt.

Agree, but just go get a portal kid for 125 next season to bridge the gap and have Leo as 125 as a freshman and Ayala at 133 as senior.
Gives the staff another year to find a high schooler for 133 after DA.

Based off of DeLuca's instagram where he posted pictures of all his school visits. We beat out ISU, ASU, Michigan, Rutgers, and tOSU for his services.

Henckel visited PSU, Rutgers, ASU, Cornell, and Nebraska in addition to us. He didn't post about the PSU visit, but his mom did.

KaBoom goes the Dynamite!!! HUGE pick up, lets get this TRAIN rollin!!!

A big take I got from the read is posted bellow. INTEGRITY/HONESTY of staff!!! More importantly, the INCORPORATE/ MAINTAIN STATE of the ART facilities this may be the FIRST of many dividends paid off by the NEW FACILITY!!!

It does appear that the latest generation of top recruits are indeed greatly influenced by facilities, and while the WOW factor may be a part of this. I also believe that they are knowledgeable also about the quality of what is real important. That is to say while the "fluff and glitter" is nice, it is the "meat and potatoes" stuff that is going to help them succeed that they also understand!

It shows an investment in them is the way I look at it. They are able to get the best training, best pre-hab/rehab etc.... I am hoping to see some images of the new facilities interior soon.

"Every major power-5 program in the country expressing interest in him, DeLuca and his family specifically cited the integrity/honesty of the Hawks’ coaching staff, as well as a pledge from the University to incorporate/maintain state-of-the-art training/rehabilitation facilities as primary factors in his decision to select Iowa over Big-10 rivals—"

Update on other possibilities or mutual interest of studs for future Hawks . 🤔

Everything that I've read indicates that Iowa's in the thick of it with Dee Lockett. Count me a bit surprised since he's in OSU's backyard. It makes sense as he's probably a 165 and he can take over for Caliendo and would have great workout partners with the Ferrari's and Gabe. Imagine a back half of the lineup with Ferrari, Lockett, Arnold, Ferrari, Ferrari, and a full time wrestling Keuter?

I would be very surprised if we got Lockett. Stranger things have happened like Perry coming to Iowa so who knows until the ink is dry.
