Let's give credit where it's due

Team looked great and definitely needed that break to recover and clean up a few things. Giving up only 2 offensive rebounds?! Love to see that! This Utah State team was no slouch either...seen them play some great ball leading up to this game.

Remember that Technical Fran got to start off the game? That single handily changed the way the game was being officiated the rest of the way. Typically T's aren't good for your team but this was one of those times where it benefitted Iowa IMO...Great coaching. Possibly lit a spark for his guys as well.

Saw a lot of hate on the guys and Fran after the 3 game losing skid so let's give credit here. They fixed what needed to be fixed of the most part and got a great statement win against a good team...let's keep it rolling!

Can’t get too excited until they rebound in the BIG Ten games. Improved rebounding effort? Yes. Physical opponent? No.

Also, good adjustments were made in game, particularly in how we were defending the pick and roll. We got torched early, made adjustments and dominated the rest of the way. Coaching staff did a great job and the players executed the plan very well.

The team looked good for one half. Defense was awful in the first half. This was the first game since before Purdue that the team was smaller than Iowa. I think that had a lot to do with their rebounding advantage. BIG will be a better indicator if their rebounding has gotten better.
