From here on out nothing that is said in the media matters.

If Iowa loses the Big Ten Championship, the detractors will feel vindicated. If Iowa wins, they are in the playoffs.

If Iowa loses the quarter final, the detractors will feel vindicated. If Iowa wins, they are in the championship.

If Iowa loses the championship game, the detractors will feel vindicated. If Iow wins they are National Champions.

Regardless, Iowa is either Champions or the detractors will be back to say, "told you so."

To the detractors, I say, KMA. I will have enjoyed 12, 13, 14, or 15 and zero, way more than you will have your "told you so"

I think they won't get pummeled too bad in the media if they get to the championship game.

If they lose the BIG championship game, they will say that this is what happens when we play a good team.

If Iowa beats MSU and loses in the first round, they will say MSU wasn''t that good and this is what happens when Iowa plays with the big boys.

at least winning the first round means that Iowa has beaten one of their golden boys, so the "you haven't beaten anybody" card gets thrown out the window

This season has been a completely unexpected gift. I couldn't care less about anything any of the pundits or anybody else has to say to disparage this team or this year. It's all gravy from here on out.
