I like the idea, I like mine. I have one from Manifattura Ceccarelli that I like a lot. Filson is is the heritage American brand, a bit boxy. Flint & Tinder has elevated the style and I think at least some of them are made here, and they look good.
Barbour has the heritage and probably never goes out of style.
I wouldn't bother with cheap stuff like Taylor Stitch, this is a category where you ought to pay for quality.
