There are no gimmees this year. Each game will be a test.

Remember how Wisconsin was mauled by Michigan. Illinois lost 2 at home. Rutgers is flailing, losing again tonight giving PSU it's 1st B10 win. OSU is playing well but just lost to Purdue.

Games like tonight should be expected this year in the best conference in the land.

Disagree...that was a shitty 8-6 team we lost to at home. Absolutely no excuse for that performance if we want to be considered a top 3 team in the nation. If we’re okay with that performance...then hello #4 seed....knocked out in the second round.
If you hadn't noticed, Indiana has been playing much better this season.

But they were ravaged with injuries and their bigs were in foul trouble.

I agree with you but I still don't think Iowa should lose this game. It's college basketball though, nothing is guaranteed.

They're hardly “shitty.” They’ve been competitive in most games and had some close losses against really good teams.

Both Wisconsin and Illinois lost at home to
2-6 Maryland. Now those are bad losses.

Matchups matter. There is only one auto win in this league. Just the way it is. Michigan will lose again. Iowa will be in this thing until the last week of play.

Iowa kind of reminds me of some of the teams Indiana had while Tom Crean was coach. Specifically when we had Zeller/Oladipo. Crean tended to be offensively focused as well and most nights we had the talent and the offensive firepower to knock teams out. However, there were teams we played that always gave us trouble. Butler was one of them. On paper we looked to have the better team more often than not, but they were always able to dictate the tempo of the game with their defense.

Anyways, outside looking in, whenever Iowa seems to put together a good team under Fran, it is usually offensively based. I think when you do that, you are more susceptible than a Gonzaga, who is more balanced, to games like last night.

Best of luck the rest of the way (well, all but one game).
