Brings up the question: Are you okay with a non-citizen receiving this honor? He’s been a Miami resident since well before he signed with Miami. He was cited for his charity work with UNICEF, his Messi Foundation, and community programs in Miami. Kind of surprised MAGA hasn’t whined about this South American on a work visa. 😉

citizens/civilians.

Let the head of the U.N hand out people who are good "citizens of the globe" award.

Or, if TPTB really want to give an award to non-citizens, then POTUS should just create a new award (literally with a stroke of a pen). But it sorta cheapens the Medal of Freedom by giving it to non-citizens.
