I got a call about being a job reference for a Remaining/little 8 FB position coach.
Long conversation but in short, right now being a college coach in the little 8 is just not a very attractive situation.
Despite (very empty) promises from an administration that your job is safe, it just doesn’t make sense because no matter the outcome of realignment the AD isn’t going to have the funds to pay you.
IMO, we will see a run on hiring away the “Little 8” FB coaches over the next 6 months because NOBODY wants to work for an organization that can’t pay its bills!
Take away the assistant coaches, which takes away recruits, which decreases the value of "little 8" even more. Putting more pressure on them to disband.
