Logo at midfield

Actually, that's what's supposed to go on the water tower. Get your rumors straight!

There has been a logo at mid field for awhile. It is formed by the marching band.
I LOVE the plain field. I admired it several times to day. I even dislike the B1G logos.
I have never noticed we didn't have a logo, so maybe it isnt a big deal..??
I don't think it's that big of a deal, but the Tigerhawk is one of the best logos in the country. It would be cool to have it at midfield.

Either add the Tiger Hawk at Kinnick or remove the one from Carver. Some of us can't handle the inconsistency. 
I'd vote for adding it to Kinnick. It would be pretty cool, and that's what it's all about in the age of Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, Facebook and more uniform styles than Tom Brady has TD passes.

You wouldnt want to have one of the most recognizable logos in CFB on the middle of your field during national televised games! That would make way too much sense for our marketing department.
Well, there's a graphic on the the screen that says IOWA. There are 33 helmet & jersey logos on the field during every play. We also have our end zone graphics. We have a blue collar, no nonsense team and coach, so NO, I DON'T WANT A STINKING LOGO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD. And I hate the B1G logos too.
But I get your point hexum.

I get your point and if we were going to put a lame "I" or letter like Neb, Wisk, Mich, ect I would totally agree here. BUT, we have a legit logo....one of the best and we dont use to showcase the university at the most marketable time you could think of.
As far as I know, PSU still has no logo. Their field is even more plain than ours. I don't feel like doing an exhaustive search, but there may be others out there with no logo.
EDIT - Notre Dame stadium has almost no paint at all on the field, if I remember correctly.
I think that POS holier-than-thou program in Lower Bend, IN has a logo-less midfield, but I hate them with the burning hot fuel of the sun so I won't bother to check.
A lot of the traditions set up for Iowa football were set up by Fry. The uniforms, the tiger Hawk, ANF, and the swarm. I'm sure he had some say in what the field would look like. I think Ferentz has taken up the Fry mantel and if Kirk would want a tiger hawk at midfield it would happen.

Penn St is still logo free so that means Iowa should start adding one this afternoon.
